O'Shea Jackson[1] (born: February 24, 1969 (1969-02-24) [age 55]),[1] better known professionally as Ice Cube, is an American[2] actor, movie producer, rapper, and songwriter.[1] Cube rose to prominence for his lyrics on N.W.A.[3] He left the group in 1989[1] and joined Priority Records as a solo artist.[4]

Cube is also known for his movies such as Friday (1995),[5] Next Friday (2000),[6] Friday After Next (2002),[7] Boyz n the Hood (1991, his debut role),[8] Barbershop,[9] and many others.[10] He is the founder of Cube Vision, a film company.[11]

Cube is regarded as one of the best rappers of all time.[12] He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016, due to his part in N.W.A..[13]

O'Shea has been married to Kimberly Woodruff since 1992, and has four children.[15] His son O'Shea Jackson Jr., played him in the Straight Outta Compton biopic.[16]
