Iida Pochi (born: April 23, 1988), better known online as Pochimaru, is a Japanese VTuber and illustrator.
Content[]
Iida debuted in 2019, with short clips that teased her character model and design. Her next streams were of her drawing and playing Minecraft,[1][2] though her 3D model was not debuted yet, and she had to use a 2D illustration in its place.
She hosted multiple chatting streams dedicated to getting to know her fans and introducing herself to them. Other games she has played include Splatoon 2, Dance Dance Revolution, Project Winter, Monster Hunter World, APEX, Phasmophobia, Mobile Suit Gundam: Battle Operation 2 and Beat Saber.[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10] In between collabs, she will upload a shitpost of her doing something mundane against a green screen.
Most of her drawing streams are of her drawing VTubers, and she has so far drawn Calliope Mori, Fubuki Shirakami , Marine Houshou, Gundo Mirei and Kana Sukoya, though she has drawn anime characters like Matsuri Kanroji from Demon Slayer.[11][12][13][14][15]
She also makes song covers, like of KING - Kanaria.
Collaborations[]
Most of her videos were collaborations with her friends 芦枝レンリ:LENRI channel, 雪丸玖/玖号室, and 夏梅ウルタ:Uta channel. They even celebrated the new year together.
She is the character designer for Hololive's Reine Pavolia, and has credited her friendship with Iofi as the reason she applied to Hololive as a character illustrator. Iofi and Pochi have also covered a song together.
She has also collaborated with Ina'nis Ninomae, Kaoru Tsukishita, Rikka and Anya Melfissa.[16][17] Usually these collaborations were of teaching them Japanese and Japanese memes.[18] She herself had a lot of streams dedicated to learning the English language.[19] Since 2021, she has been trying to learn Spanish.[20] Iida has also collaborated with Nijisanji's Shibuya Hajime and HoneyStrap's Patra Suou.[21][22]
She has also played APEX Legends with Selen Tatsuki and Laila Shino.
Design[]
She is her own character designer, though her rigger is けっふぃー. On September 23, 2022, she debuted a new model, and also started streaming with her real voice instead of using a voice changer like she used to do.

She is a mangaka and illustrator, and her well-known works include The Elder Sister-Like One (Ane Naru Mono) and it's ero-doujinshi spinoffs, Do You Love Your Mom and Her Two-Hit Multi-Target Attacks? (Tsūjou Kōgeki ga Zentai Kōgeki de ni Kai Kōgeki no Okā-san wa Suki Desuka?) amongst others. Her first drawing streams were of the latter, and she has even sang the theme song of it, which became her most viewed video. She also illustrated the end card of the eleventh episode of Sunohara-Sō no Kanrinin-san (TV).

Trivia[]
- Though she is a native Japanese speaker, Pochi is fluent in English, having started to learn it after Reine's debut. She is also learning Indonesian and Spanish.
- Pochi's likes are eating, watching horror movies, watching insect and animal videos, reading books, playing games, learning English, traveling on wikipedia or Google Maps and taking the express train.
- A lot of her Japanese classes center around memes.
- Early in her VTuber career, she ran into malfunctions with her PC.
- She calls the VTubers she designed her "family".[30]
- She is 152cm, and is 155cm with shoes.
