Kye (born: July 19, 1999), better known online as IlluminaHD (or simply Illumina, also known as Illumina1337), is a Canadian gaming YouTuber and Minecraft Speedrunner known for his skill in speedrunning and playing Minecraft, and is considered a veteran in the community .

He holds significant places in the following categories: Any% Glitchless - Random Seed 1.16+ (1.16.1, Normal, No F3, Vanilla); All Advancements - 1.16 RSG (1.16.1, Normal, F3, Vanilla); Any% Glitchless - Random Seed 1.9-1.15 (1.14.4, Normal, No F3, Vanilla); Any% Glitchless - Random Seed Pre 1.9 (1.7.2, Hard, No F3); Any% Glitchless - Set Seed, Pre 1.9 (1.8.9, Easy, No F3), Any% - Set Seed, 1.9+ (1.12.2, Normal, No F3, Vanilla), Any% - Random Seed Pre 1.9 (1.8.9, Normal, No F3, Vanilla) (He also currently holds 1st place), and Any% - Set Seed Pre 1.9 (1.8.1, Normal, No F3, Optifine) among many more. He is also the first person to get world records on all three major random seed categories.[1] He is also formerly known for never using F3 mode in Minecraft Speedrunning.
MC Championship[]
MC Championship is a Minecraft Tournament for YouTubers and Streamers run by the Noxcrew, in which 10 teams of four compete in a series of 8 minigames decided by the participants. A point multiplier makes each game worth more as each round passes, incentivizing teams to vote for games they might be bad at early on in the event. In the end, the two teams with the most points face off in a round of "Dodgebolt" to decide the winner of the tournament. This makes it possible for a team to win despite potentially having fewer points than the runner-up.
Illumina joined MCC on November 14, 2020. He played in several of the MCC tournaments, having won two of them.

Accusations of rape by stellaeperditae[]
On October 22nd, 2023, a streamer and fellow speedrunner by the name of stellaeperditae posted a tweet[2] discussing sexual assault that occurred to her at TwitchCon of that same year; in a quote of the original tweet, she further elaborated that Illumina was the party accused of the sexual assault.[3] Illumina posted a (now deleted) response the following day,[4] where he alleged these accusations were false and/or exaggerated due to Stellae's mental health issues and that other friends of his have expressed similar issues with her in particular, as well as announcing a hiatus from content production. On November 27th, 2023, Stellae posted another tweet[5] including screencaps from Discord in which Illumina made a rape joke toward her on November 9th over a photo taken from the night of the alleged assault. Illumina responded December 15th, 2023, in an unlisted (now deleted) video uploaded to his YouTube channel, in which he deflected but admitted that the events described by Stellae did in fact occur.[6] There is a reuploaded version available.[7] Later, he posted a tweet and a Google document confirming that he was leaving the Minecraft scene, as well as deleting all of his social media accounts.[8]He posted another response on March 8, 2024.[9]

- Illumina is bisexual. He came out as bisexual in his Discord Server on October 3, 2020.
- He was featured in the Minecraft Speedrunning Section of the 2021 Guinness Book of World Records for the fastest Any% Glitchless completion of Minecraft: Java Edition using a set seed.[10]
- Illumina is biracial. He is half white and half Indigenous Canadian.
- He is 6 feet tall (183 centimeters).[11]
- He was a Minecraft Speedrun moderator until early 2020.
- Illumina's Hogwarts house is Gryffindor.[12]
- From 30th April to 2nd May 2021, Illumina participated in the Minecraft Break the Record Live tournament hosted by the European Speedrunning Assembly along with Couriway, Reignex, TheeSizzler, ninjabrain1, Dylqn, and Feinberg.
- He's been speedrunning since he was 14 years old.
- He is roommates with Fruitberries
- Fruitberries claimed he was 6'3," and Illumina claimed that they were both the same height.
