IndiaTV or India TV is an Indian news channel launched on May 20, 2004 by Rajat Sharma, who owns the channel, and his wife, Ritu Dhawan.[1] It is headquartered in B-30, Sector 85, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India.[citation needed]

History[]

Sharma and Dhawan firstly set up Independent News Service (INS), the parent company that owns IndiaTV, in 1997.[2] In April 2004, Sharma and Dhawan founded IndiaTV from a studio in India. Sharma was previously the anchor of a news program called Aap Ki Adalat, which is on Zee News.[citation needed]

Rajat Sharma previously anchored Aapki Adalat on Zee News and Janata Ki Adalat on Star News (now ABP NEWS).[citation needed]

In February 2022, IndiaTV was rebranded.[3]

In June 2024, India TV Gained more than a Million Subscribers, resulting to enter Top 100 Most Subscribed Channels passing Little Baby Bum in Subscribers, the channel's highest rank was Top 98, until few fast growing Youtube Shorts Channels such as Real fools shorts and Alejo Igoa surpassed IndiaTV, and after a few weeks later, IndiaTV left Top 100 by being surpassed by Dushyant kukreja in subscribers.

The channel was created on August 26, 2006, and the first video was uploaded on September 25, 2007, titled "AAP KI ADALAT (RAJU SRIVASTAVA)". The channel uploads news footage from its channel on television.
