Ajay Patel,[citation needed] also known by his YouTube alias as InternetAjay (or AjayYouTube), is an American YouTuber, currently residing in the United States, who made videos revolved around the rise and fall of particular YouTubers and streamers.
On February 3, 2023, Ajay announced in a tweet that he would be retiring from YouTube in the summer of 2023 due to getting a new job and wanting to focus on said job full time.
On June 10, 2023, Ajay uploaded his final video called The Rise And Fall Of InternetAjay: Why I'm Quitting YouTube, in which he went over his career and stated that he now had a full time job as an investment banker in New York, as a result not having as much time to work on videos as he used to. Towards the end of the video, Ajay said that he would only make videos if a major downfall of a creator happened.
On 30th November 2024, a year after his final upload, Ajay uploaded a video titled InternetAjay Is Back., in which he explained that during his time off, he missed making content, so he decided to return to making videos. However, he explained his upload schedule wouldn't be the same since he is still focused on his full-time job.
Content[]
At first, his content revolved around the rise and fall of particular YouTubers and streamers (for the latter, mostly IRL streamers), however, later on he would begin making rise and fall videos on broader topics such as celebrities and companies.
His videos are often presented in the form of video essays and are at least ten minutes long. He does have a few commentary videos.
Criticism[]
Turkey Tom criticized Ajay for not putting actual effort into his videos and copying off of Wikitubia articles. He also criticized Ajay's videos for their sharp decline in quality, often choosing to focus on minor YouTube controversies after running out of big YouTubers to cover, rather than finding a new topic to talk about[2]. He also mocked Ajay for his desperate tweets where he bemoaned not being able to get a girlfriend and falling victim to a cryptocurrency scam. Ajay himself would respond to the video[3].
