Jaiden Dittfach[1][2] (born: September 27, 1997), better known online as JaidenAnimations, is an American YouTuber, animator, artist, and comedian who creates story-time animation videos about her life, and speed-paints. She also creates video game related animated videos.
Collaborations
Jaiden took part in MrBeast's $100,000 YouTuber Battle Royale in a team with TheOdd1sOut and Anthony Padilla. She fired the winning shot for the team and won $100,000 (each team member received $33.33k and a penny was donated to charity).[3]
She was invited to make an animation on YouTube Rewind 2017, with her animation being in the video's credits.[4] In the 2018 Rewind, Jaiden appeared in one of the scenes with PewDiePie's chair, recreating the "BUT Can you do this?" meme. After a few hours, fans also spotted several references to various memes such as "sub 2 PewDiePie", "Somebody toucha my spaghet," (though people thought it was "Bitch Lasagna" and she said it could be either), KSIvsLogan, Ugandan Knuckles, Smash Bros letter, "Sociopaths 101" (a reference to Jake Paul or Shane Dawson, but it was too small to read), and Ari. In MrBeast's video '2020 Rewind: Thank God It's Over', she was in a scene saying 'Yes' but in animated form.
Jaiden appeared in TheOdd1sOut's card game Cafe Chaos as a card in the Animator's Pack. A limited edition pack only available from supporting the Kickstarter campaign. She is portrayed with Ari, who is comically cursing.[5][6]
She took part in a YouTube game show that was hosted by CallMeCarson, and later collaborated on a Minecraft video with him. This video was later unlisted following controversy aimed towards Carson.
Relationships
Jaiden is close friends with many fellow animator YouTubers, such as TheOdd1sOut, TimTom and SomeThingElseYT, forming a gang called the Boise Squad. The previous Animation Squad, however, included herself, TheOdd1sOut, ItsAlexClark and TonyVToons. Rebecca Parham from Let Me Explain Studios is also a close friend to Jaiden, but she is not in either groups. Jaiden is also best friends with Alpharad.
Jaiden has mentioned that she's been on dates on multiple occasions in the past, although her dating life, as a whole, is currently kept private. In a livestream, she stated that she does not consider herself "fully gay" or "fully straight," also mentioning that, while not impossible, she finds it "very hard to [...] romantically like people."[7] On March 20, 2022, she made a video titled "Being Not Straight", where she revealed that she is aroace, meaning she is aromantic and asexual.[8]
Pets
Ari
Ari (born: April 29, 2016) is Jaiden's pet green-cheeked conure. Jaiden jokingly likes to call them a "dog." Ari has often been featured in Jaiden's videos and continues to be the star of her Instagram and Twitter.
Ari often pushes stuff off tables, throws strawberries, and screams a lot. Ari also has a habit of singing along to songs, although, in Jaiden's words, Ari "has no rhythm and is pretty tone-deaf."[9]
At the current moment, Ari's gender is unknown. Green-cheeked conure genders can only be confirmed via DNA testing, which Jaiden mentions is too expensive for her to feel comfortable paying for.[citation needed] Some sources suggest that Ari is female because of the color of their cere (the pale area above the beak), however, this is incorrect because those sources confuse Ari as being a budgie, a different kind of bird. In fact, Ari is likely a male because it has been shown that many male green cheek conures have gray/black feet, while many females have pink feet, though it is still unknown how reliable that method is. Some people consider Ari a boy, as Jaiden commonly uses masculine pronouns when referring to them. She also jokingly calls other parrots "Aris," like "caring for an Ari can be hard" and "you have an Ari?."[9]
The very first video that Ari appeared in was the "New Member of the Family!" video. They have also appeared in "Ari's First Christmas feat. Weeaboo Misaki," "Happy Birthday Ari!," "Living with Ari," "Ari's Birthday! (again)," "Ari's Birthday Party & New Friend," and the behind the scenes of her music video "Empty."
They have been featured in many merch items, such as T-shirts, stickers, and plushies. Jaiden's merch line "Arigato" was most likely named after Ari.
Tofu
Tofu (born: June 20, 2019) is Jaiden's other bird, adopted in October 2019. She revealed the bird's existence on a charity stream for United Way.[10] Unlike Ari, Tofu is a confirmed female, as the breeder sexed her. In MrBeast's Creator Games, there were two bird cages shown in the room she was streaming from, which suggest that Ari and Tofu are kept in separate cages.
Tostada
Tostada (born: April 7, 2022)[11] is Jaiden's pet cat. Jaiden's audience first met Tostada on the first day of her subathon, when she walked in front of Jaiden's camera.[12]
Personal life
Jaiden was born and raised in the state of Arizona,[13] and later moved to Los Angeles, California.[14] Her mother is Japanese and her father is German, but both of her parents were born in Canada. Her mother's side of the family still lives there, and she states that, when she lived in Arizona, her family would visit their Canadian relatives every summer[15] because, "We like seeing them and they're really great, and yeah, we don't like to live in a VOLCANO."[16] She has family on her father's side that lives in South Lake Tahoe, California.[15]
Jaiden also has a younger brother named Jax, who has appeared in a few of her videos.
During her childhood, she enjoyed drawing and playing casual video games. As she grew older, she began participating in competitive sports, such as tennis and karate; she also took music lessons, such as piano and violin, and learned the recorder through compulsory school lessons.
She follows a vegan diet, which is most likely due to her concerns about how animals are treated in farms.
Jaiden is shy and tends to be nervous when interacting with people. She talks about these traits in many of her videos, the most notable one being "Why I Don’t Have a "Face Reveal"," in which she also talks about her problems with self-consciousness and body dysmorphia. Her song "Empty", made with Boyinaband, as well as the accompanying music video, touched on this further, detailing her struggle with an eating disorder. However, the music video has since been privated and the song was removed from all music streaming services following controversy aimed towards Boyinaband.
In a video titled "Anxiety is the Greatest! (jk it can go jump off a microwave)," Jaiden talks about her struggles with both anxiety and depression.
On June 22, 2022, Jaiden tweeted that she had tested positive for COVID-19 after unknowingly being exposed to it.[17]
Some time in 2024, Jaiden was diagnosed with ADHD, specifically the inattentive type. She believes that her difficulties in college were linked to this. She was also diagnosed with Autism.[18]

Trivia
- Jaiden is an animal lover and had two dogs when she was a child.[25]
- Her parents took in the first dog, a collie called Keisha, long before Jaiden was born. She doesn't remember much of her interaction with her, although her parents do.
- When she was seven, her family got another dog after begging for one for a long time. They named Scruffy, a black-coated Havanese.
- Jaiden doesn't like skirts and refuses to wear them[26]. She's had this thought process since she was an infant child[27].
- Both Jaiden's pet bird, Ari, and JonTronShow's pet bird, Jacques, are the same species, albeit different colors.
- She "went vegan" for one week after being nominated to do the "7 Day Vegan Challenge, baby (solves all yo' problems)" by TheOdd1sOut (who "created" the name to this challenge).[28]
- This nomination was mostly a joke, as Jaiden was already vegan before accepting this challenge.[29]
- Growing up, Jaiden enjoyed watching Jimmy Neutron however found Jimmy himself to be absolutely annoying[30].
- She also grew up watching and enjoying early Spongebob Squarepants and the classic Powerpuff Girls series[31].
- Jaiden barely watched My Life as a Teenage Robot as a kid however stated its a really good show that she's considered returning to watch[32]. She also understood why male teens would easily have a "cartoon crush" over Jenny Wakeman as well.
- Jaiden didn't like shows that weren't cartoons growing up however really liked Drake & Josh and ICarly growing up[33]. Her favorite ICarly character is Spencer Shay[34].
- As a kid, she didn't watch the Disney Channel. She's stated she has never watched Kim Possible or Phineas & Ferb growing up[35].
- She hated Johnny Test as a kid, especially the main character under the same name. This was due to Johnny being a little shit that had to learn a lesson after every episode[36].
- She personally states that Jessica Rabbit was "made" to be liked by boys & was "sexualized"[37], especially as a "cartoon crush".
- Jaiden understands why boys/guys had cartoon crushes on Miss Sara Bellum from the classic Powerpuff girls series[38].
- She once dyed her hair purple to look like her favorite YouTuber at the time, iHasCupquake.[39]
- She also had red streaks in her hair when she was younger, which she said was similar to Boyinaband's.[39]

- Jaiden is not huge on video games that look realistic and rather enjoys games that have a cartoonish aesthetic[41]. This has resulted in many of her viewers stating she "missed out" on various beloved video game franchises.
- Jaiden has said that she is allergic to cats.[42] However, when she appeared on an episode of Chuckle Sandwich in 2021, she claimed that she is no longer allergic to them.[43]
- In the video "Christmas Trivia Game! (Jaiden shot us)" by TimTom, Jaiden remarks that she is around 5'7" (170cm), "as tall as Santa Claus."[44]
- She and Domics have the same birthday, but seven years apart.
- According to former viewers, Jaiden attempted to play the beloved Call of Duty: World at War campaign, however stopped playing the game because of its "horrendous graphics" and dark storyline.

- JaidenAnimations has been awarded the 2020 Streamy Awards in the Animated category.

- Jaiden has never played Left 4 Dead 2[50].
- Jaiden knows very little about Team Fortress 2 however doesn't consider on playing it in the future[51] for unknown reasons.
- Jaiden has played Portal 2 with her friend Trevor[52].
- In the "I Attempted a Speedrun" video[53], Jaiden makes a reference animation towards the Portal series. The reference shows a mockup animation of a "Portal 2 speedrun" with the Portal Gun and the Weighted Companion Cube in it as well.
- The Nintendo Switch is Jaiden's favorite video game console of all time[54].
- Jaiden stated she was excited about the Steam Deck due to its longer battery life-span and better features than the Switch.
- Jaiden likes playing video games in bed[55].
- As a kid, at 7-AM, Jaiden used to play Super Mario Galaxy on her Nintendo Wii[56]. She stated she'd love to revisit the game[57].
- Jaiden states her favorite boss character in Super Mario Galaxy was Megaleg[58].
- According to a couple deleted tweets (and her friend ModestCube), the Super Mario Galaxy OST "Bowser's Galaxy Reactor" was "the most intense OST in the Soundtrack".
- Jaiden is a huge Undertale fan and states its easy to forget its a fantastic game that everyone should try out[59].
- Growing up, she had a Playstation 3[62] and played an ambiguous Need for Speed game and Little Big Planet 3[63].
- She attempted to play The Last of Us however she personally couldn't get into it[64]. She instead watched a no commentary playthrough of it and stated she's "aware" of the story[65]. This was due to her liking "cartoon-aesthetic" games better. She accidentally forgot about the franchise and its existence on November 30th, 2022[66].
- Jaiden has played GTA before as when she was a teenager, she visited her cousins house and the two were going to a helicopter pad, got in a helicopter and flew around the map. It is heavily speculated if she is referring to GTA IV as she doesn't mention planes w/ GTA IV only having helicopter aircraft in the game[67].
- Jaiden has never played GTA: Vice City, a game considered to be a cult-classic in the gaming space[68].
