Controversies[]

Calling Out/Feud with Justa Minx[]

On January 30, 2022, Jake uploaded a video in which he revealed that Twitch streamer Justa Minx had accused him of being a "sexist c***". Jake had tweeted out a clip of Minx's first hot tub livestream in which there were strippers in the hot tub, calling her out for breaking Twitch's Terms of Service. This caused Minx to compare the clip from her stream to a clip of one of Mizkif's streams that featured people spitting alcohol onto each other's mouths, which caused Minx to accuse Jake of being sexist. Jake responded by denying that he was being sexist, stating that Minx was comparing 2 clips that were distinctly different, as there were no strippers in Mizkif's stream nor was it taking place in a hot tub.

Jake ended his video by adding that Minx should not "jump the gun" on him. He also clarifies that he would call out any other streamer for violating Twitch's Terms of Service, regardless of their gender, and states he does not expect an apology from Minx for falsey accussing him of sexism.[5]

Exposing IShowSpeed and milking his controversies[]

On April 6, 2022, Jake tweeted out a clip where Darren "IShowSpeed" Watkins went on a sexist rant to a girl after she stream-sniped Darren and was trash-talking to him in a VALORANT server.[6]

Despite Darren later apologizing for his rant[7], Jake's decision to expose Darren caused many users on Twitter to accuse Jake of being a hypocrite, as well as being racially motivated to get Darren banned from Riot Games. Keemstar of DramaAlert later said that Jake was hypocritical for also endorsing "trash talk" in video games. However, Twitch livestreamer xQcOW later replied to Keem, saying that he was "pretty rich to try to use the racism card while overlooking blatant sexism", insinuating that Keem should not defend Darren if he thinks his rant was considered "trash talk".[8] As the drama worsened, criticism towards Jake escalated to the point where he would receive aggressive hate comments, and even death threats.[9]

On July 21, 2022, Jake decided to expose Darren a second time after Darren accidentally featured himself getting a blowjob in a sexual Minecraft mod in his livestream.[10] Jake later interviewed Darren from help through YouTuber JiDion on August 30, 2022, and was confronted by Darren for blindly reporting his incidents out of context, which they sorted out their differences in the interview. They have not interacted since.[11]
