Jake started to gain fame by being a part of the MrBeast crew. He initially appeared in 2018 in the MrBeast video Do Water Repellent Shoes Actually Work?, and for almost two years, he has been majorly involved in MrBeast's videos (including challenges), before Karl Jacobs became a major crew member of the channel.

On April 7, 2020, Jake announced that he left MrBeast and his group of YouTubers. He stated that he left only due to the restrictions of "free time" and that there is no bad blood between them.

One of Jake's friends is Nate. Nate streams on twitch (Nintendo_Nate) and plays with Jake sometimes. Nate has went to Jake's house and has been in a couple of his videos. Jake and Nate live in different states but Jake picked up Nate from the airport.
