Jake Franklin (born: May 1, 1992 (1992-05-01) [age 31]), better known online as Jake the Viking, is an American YouTuber best known for being part of the MrBeast crew from 2018 to 2020. He has since gone on to pursue his own channel, where he makes challenge and vlog videos and has managed to garner over 1 million subscribers.

Charity[]

Franklin, hoping to help his community during the 2019-2020 COVID-19 crisis, recently handed out $1,000 in tips to servers at Greenville restaurants in an effort to help those in need. He surprised servers with tips ranging from $100 to $300 and says the reactions were priceless. He posted a video on YouTube featuring the servers' reactions.[1]

Jake has been dating model Shelby Dueitt since November 2018.

Involvement in MrBeast[]

Jake started to gain fame by being a part of the MrBeast crew. He initially appeared in 2018 in the MrBeast video Do Water Repellent Shoes Actually Work?,[2] and for almost two years, he has been majorly involved in MrBeast's videos (including challenges), before Karl Jacobs became a major crew member of the channel.

Depature[]

On April 7, 2020, Jake announced that he left MrBeast and his group of YouTubers. He stated that he left only due to the restrictions of "free time" and that there is no bad blood between them.[3]

Friend[]

One of Jake's friends is Nate. Nate streams on Twitch (Nintendo_Nate) and plays with Jake sometimes. Nate has went to Jake's house and has been in a couple of his videos. Jake and Nate live in different states but Jake picked up Nate from the airport.

On 20 February 2023, it was announced that Jake had signed a multi-fight deal with Misfits Boxing.[4] On 17 March, it was announced that Jake the Viking will be fighting American YouTuber and musician Malcom Minikon on the undercard of MF & DAZN: X Series 006: JMX vs. Le'Veon Bell on 21 April at Xula Convocation Centre in New Orleans, Louisiana.[5] The fight ended as a majority draw, with one judge scoring the fight even at 38-38, one judge scoring 39-37 in favour of Minikon and the final judge scoring 37-39 in favour of Jake.[6]
