Jalyn (born: December 12, 2001)[1], formerly known as Jalyn, Jadyn and JaydnPlayzMC, is an American commentary YouTuber formerly known for her That Vegan Teacher commentary series.
Content[]
Jalyn started as a Minecraft gaming channel, where she would upload videos documenting her adventures in the game. In December 5, 2018, she reached 200 subscribers[2]. It wasn't until 2020 where she decided to start making commentary videos, with her first popular one being about the drama[3] surrounding SML.
She is extremely critical of Dream and his stans, making several videos on them.[citation needed]
Other Channels[]
JalynLive is her second channel where she uploads more commentary than her main channel as it is monetized. The channel used to be her Gaming channel under the name JalynGames where she plays both Minecraft Bedrock Edition and Java Edition. This includes MCPE Factions, CubeCraft Eggwars, Prisons, Galaxite Chronos Battle Royale, The Hive, Pixel Paradise and Hypixel.
JalynGaming is her gaming news channel and used to be called Jadyn Shorts, it used to be her Shorts Channel where she uploaded all of her TikToks.
Internet Unraveled is her shorts channel where she posts content about the "latest Internet trends". She formerly uploads gaming on the Channel and putted Extras that she can't upload on any other of her channels, which was named M3RK Jay. A bit later it was then rebranded to JalynLive. It was her Livestream, Exposing and Extras Channel. The channel as then rebranded to LeafyAI, where she would make commentary videos using a Leafy AI voice. Lastly it was rebranded to what we know it today.
Controversies[]
Technoblade video/Feud with Braso[]
On August 27, 2021, Jalyn uploaded a now-privatized video titled “I feel awful for Technoblade”, after Techno announced he had cancer in a video, Jalyn’s video became controversial for “milking Techno’s cancer” for views.[4] After that, Optimus responded again with another video, where he showed evidence that Jalyn lied about many things and told Sensitive soci3ty to end his life. Jalyn had to make another response video with fundraiser on, apologizing for making video about Technoblade's cancer without a fundraiser and to Optimus for making the fight a bigger deal. Jalyn decided to take a break from Twitter for over a week and opened up a temporary Discord Server.[5]
Braso later on responded that Jalyn also created a clickbait video saying that That Vegan Teacher killed Dhar Mann. He has also said that Jalyn has been hating religion for the past 2-3 months.[6] Jalyn later responded that she no longer hates religion.[7]
Feud with Acheeto[]
On December 28, 2022, Acheeto claimed that Jalyn's views on religion was "vital and disgusting language he seen in a group".[8] He also stated that the language he use would never be used in transgender/gender conforming groups. In Jalyn's response, she claimed that Acheeto was "bringing up past tweets about her views on religion" and that she apologized numerous times. She also said that she likes to make edgy jokes and shitpost.[9]
Acheeto said that Jalyn on Twitter/X was "misintropic" with religious people and on YouTube, she knows that if she said anything bad about religion, she'll lose fans. Jalyn would go on to state that she did separate her points of views on Twitter/X and YouTube.[10][11]
Feud with Lerix[]
On December 13, 2021, YouTuber Lerix made a video titled Why I Don't Like Jadyn. Jalyn then commented on that video claiming that the video violates the YouTube Terms of Service. Lerix then made a tweet calling out Jalyn for the comment.[12] Jalyn then falsely flagged the video and replied to the tweet saying that the video is harassment and bullying. On Twitter, she insisted that she never striked it.[13][14] Jalyn then went to Tommy C's SFTP to defend herself about Lerix video.[15]
Later Jalyn would debate AugieRFC about the controversy.[16] She was hesitant to respond, which received backlash from Turkey Tom and Optimus who called Jalyn a "hypocrite" for calling the video "harassment" despite her being an active supporter of LeafyIsHere, who had a history of making similar videos.[17]
Feud with Parlo[]
On February 13, 2022, Jalyn made a video called "The WORST Roblox Channel..."[18] exposing Parlo for being a hypocrite and for making false accusations against her around the same time Parlo made a now-deleted video exposing Jalyn for milking controversies related to Dream and monetizing the video related to Technoblade's cancer.
Parlo made a 30-Minute video (which is also deleted) where he accused Jalyn of being racist after she made a comment joking about it. Jalyn made another video called "My Response To Parlo..."[19] claiming that they were not meant to be offensive.
Jalyn made one last video on Parlo called "The Drama Is Over..."[20] where she talks about the controversy between them is over.
Racist, Anti-semitic jokes and Slurs[]
On July 13, 2022, Jalyn tweeted that political cartoonist Stonetoss was anti-semitic since he made antisemitic comics. Another Twitter user, @polushours, tweeted that Jalyn herself had also made jokes about gassing Jews in the past. Jalyn then said that it was okay for her to do it since it was a joke, and then blocked the person who called her out[21][22].
Due to Jalyn's hypocrisy of condemning Stonetoss, members of her Discord server revealed screenshots of her calling people the n-word on many occasions, despite being a white woman[23]. YouTuber ZeroNeedsCoffee contributed by posting [1] multiple screenshots over the years of Jalyn using the n-word and f-slur. The YouTuber Wheen also contributed by posting a compilation video on Twitter of Jalyn using the n-word and using the word "Jew" in a derogatory manner[24]. Jalyn has also repeatedly used the n-word in retaliation towards black individuals in discord calls, on one occasion calling a member of the call a "dirty (n-word)" and telling him to "go back to his country"[25].
Jalyn started up a live stream called, “Addressing the Allegations”, in which she would reiterate her claim it was just “edgy humor”. Jalyn would then wipe her Twitter/X and announce she was taking a break[26].
Doxxing[]
On February 3, 2022, Jalyn tweeted:
"im having suicidal thoughts now because of you, im seeing a therapist i hope you are happy with yourselves"
She also noted that she recieved multiple "death threats" for her being trans, but it's unsure if it's before or after her doxxing of her address.[27][28][29]
Alleged Cheating Scandal[]
In August, 2023, Turkey Tom and Lerix had false Cheating allegations against them. An anonymous user on Twitter/X or Discord stated that the situation allegedly took place sometime around 2022, Tom had a girlfriend whose name was "Kai" who Tom started dating in Late 2021, She allegedly cheated on him with Lerix, the user did not give any sources.[30] On September 19, 2023, SALVOPANCAKES told his audience to go to tom's streams and type in tom's chat "you got cucked by Lerix". On February 24, 2024, Jalyn made a video on regarding this situation, in the video she said that she made a joke to Lerix in a discord call, Lerix also Messaged Jalyn on why she made the joke about "Tom carving his ex-girlfriend's name on his chest", with Lerix getting angry over it. Lerix still made jokes about it months later so it's unclear if it as a whole was a joke or not.[31]
