Jason Thanh Nguyen[1] (born: May 9, 2004 (2004-05-09) [age 21]),[2] better known online as JasonTheWeen[ie], is a Vietnamese-American YouTuber and musician known for his in real life streams on Twitch and clips.[3] He is a member of the new FaZe Clan.

History[]

Beginnings[]

Jason Thanh Nguyen was born on May 9, 2004, in Arlington, Texas. He started streaming on Twitch back in 2018, when he was only 14 years old. Although, he only streamed twice that year. In 2021, Jason started going by the name Nguyenmoneysniper on TikTok where he would start becoming well-known.[4] Jason created his YouTube account on April 7, 2021.[5] He started streaming again in August of 2022, where he would stream games such as VALORANT. He mostly streamed everyday and averaged about 100 viewers. Jason started getting more popular when he streamed with streamer PROD. He asked PROD to 1v1 him in VALORANT, which then PROD agreed to since he knew Jason from his famous clips. He uploaded his first video on August 29, 2022. The video was a clip from his Twitch stream where he explained his first and worst E-Pal experience.[6] On September 2022, Jason started averaging 3,000 views each stream. [7] He continued to gain fame by posting purposefully cringe videos on TikTok and streaming "e-dates" on Twitch where he would collab with various internet e-girls.

On February 18, 2023, Jason released his first official song on streaming platforms called "Goodbye Yujin".[8] The song was made for Jason's at the time girlfriend Yujin, who broke up with him on February 28, 2024 on mutual terms.[9][10]

He created his second channel on April 24, 2024, where he uses it as a vlog channel. He uploaded his first vlog on May 15, 2024.[11]

On May 14, 2024, Jason released his first extended play, "Love Bomb", with four songs, including his most popular song "Dep Gai."[12]

FaZe Clan and further recognition[]

On August 30, 2024, Jason became a member of the rebooted cast of FaZe Clan.[13] He moved to the FaZe house in Los Angeles, where his content evolved to include more real life streams and collaborative videos with fellow FaZe members.

On July 22, 2024, Jason uploaded a song with at the time FaZe Clan member PlaqueBoyMax called "Hold You Still". Both him and Max created the song using FL Studio, they were streaming on Twitch while creating the song. The song is about how Jason and Max miss their exes.[14]

On October 1, 2024, Jason made two more YouTube channels, "JasonTheWeen Live" and "JasonTheWeen VODS." He renamed his main channel "JasonTheWeen" and vlog channel "JasonTheWeen IRL." His first upload on "JasonTheWeen Live" was uploaded on October 8, 2024, titled, Jason Reacts To Hate From Asian Podcast & Creators.., his "live" channel uploads clips from his Twitch live streams. His fourth channel "JasonTheWeen VODS" first upload was on October 9, 2024, titled Living With Cinna For 24 Hours!, his "VODS" channel is used to upload his full live streams from Twitch.[15][16]

In December 2024, Jason was nominated for one award for the December 2024 Streamer Awards. He was nominated and won the best breakout streamer award.[17]

On January 10, 2025, Jason had his first live performance at The Circle OC in Huntington Beach, California.[18] His performance also included Yugi, Arky, Lacy, Stable Ronaldo, Fake Plaqueboymax, Sa Nguyen, Tiffanobi, and Edward. The songs that were performed was Kc2x (Yugi), Brother by Kanye West (Yugi & Arky), Marry You by Bruno Mars (Yugi & Arky), Pink Dreads by DDG and Plaqueboymax (Fake Max), Love Yourself by Justin Bieber (Ron & Lacy), Pink Dreads (Ron & Lacy), Obsessed (Jason), Home (Jason), Hold You Still (Fake Max & Jason), For You (Jason), Sexo by Plaqueboymax (Jason), Together (Jason), Goodbye Yujin (Jason), and Dep Gai (Jason).[19]

On March 12, 2025, it was announced Jason would appear as one of the contestants in season 2 of the reality competition streaming television series created by Sidemen called Inside on Netflix.[20] On March 27, 2025, Jason appeared in a music video for the song "GBAD" by Jackson Wang and later appeared in a remix of the song.[21][22] On March 31, 2025, Jason appeared in another music video for the song "What Are You Waiting For" by d4vd.[23] On June 23, 2025, Jason released his second extended play titled "J + S" with Kyedae's sister, Sakura Shymko. The extended play was released with 3 songs, "Prom", "J A K U R A", and "Favorite Flower".[24] He made all the songs during his live streams on Twitch.[25][26][27]
