YouTube history[]

The Jawayd Anwar channel was created on November 9, 2017.[1]

Biography[]

Jawayd Anwar was born in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.[2] The eldest of his family, Anwar studied in governmental schools and colleges of Punjab before moving to Austria with his wife. He had four children, three daughters and one son. In November 2011, Anwar came to Pakistan for a short trip and suddenly died of a heart attack.[3][1]

Anwar's poetic works, especially his ghazals, are renowned in Pakistan.[4][5] In 2007, the Herald deemed Anwar as one of the poets with "extensive nazms" (poems).[6] His book, Shehr Main Shaam, was described by literary critic Afsar Sajid a "concise but expressive flap". [7]
