Jamie Michael "Jay" Swingler (born: March 17, 1995 (1995-03-17)), is an English YouTuber who makes challenge, comedy and prank videos. Jay runs the channel TGFbro with Romell Henry, where he uploads a variety of weird and random content for over 5 million subscribers. On November 7, 2013, Jay created his own YouTube channel, which featured him doing various comedy and prank videos.

History

Jay was born at Wordsley Hospital in Wordsley, near Dudley, West Midlands, England.

When he was young, Jay played semi-professional football with a team called the Kidderminster Harriers, but quit because he wanted to spend more time on his videos. He was 12 when he started making videos for YouTube, uploading Call of Duty content but not taking it very seriously. He and Romell Henry posted their first YouTube video, "The Laughter Challenge," in May of 2012.

Jay also went to Halesowen college at a point in time to study photography/film studies, but did not enjoy it. He later quit with no backup plan beyond his YouTube career.

Jay's middle name Michael comes from his uncle Michael, who Jay says went to prison at some time in his life (said in Jay's song 'MIKE').

On March 12, 2018, Swingler was called out by Saudi Arabian-English YouTuber AnEsonGib on 31 August 2018 at the Manchester Arena, as part of the undercard for KSI vs. Logan Paul. Both Swingler and Gib fought on August 25, 2018 in Manchester Arena. The fight would would go all 4 rounds with Swingler getting defeated by Gib via unanimous decision. The fight scorecard was announced Gib won every round 50-45.

On August 27, 2022 during the broadcast of MF & DAZN X Series 001: KSI vs. Swarmz and KSI vs. Luis Alcaraz Pineda, it was announced that Swingler will be making his professional debut against American YouTuber Cherdleys in the co-main event on Misfit's second event, MF & DAZN X Series 002: Hasim Rahman Jr. vs. Vitor Belfort at Sheffield Arena, Sheffield, England on 15 October 2022. On 15 September 2022, Swingler vs. Cherdleys was moved to the main event replacing Rahman Jr. vs. Belfort as that will take place on MF & DAZN: X Series 003. On 15 October at the event, Swingler defeated Cherdleys via KO in the 1st round won the ICB International super-middleweight title.

During the broadcast of MF & DAZN: X Series 004: KSI vs. FaZe Temperrr, Swingler announced he would be getting back in the ring on 25 February, 2023 against Singaporean YouTuber and TikToker Nicholai "NichLmao" Perrett in the main event of Misfit's fifth event, MF & DAZN: X Series 005 in Telford International Centre, Telford, England. The event was postponed to 4 March 2023 due Jake Paul vs. Tommy Fury being on the same day. On 10 February, it was announced that Swingler had signed a multi-fight deal with Misfits Boxing. On the night of the fight, Swingler defeated NichLmao via majority decision. Swingler then proceeded to call out AnEsonGib.

Cancelled NichLmao fight

On August 31, 2024 at MF & DAZN: X Series 17, Swingler made a return to Misfits Boxing, re-debuting with a announcement that his comeback to boxing and wanted a rematch with NichLmao, the duo then engaged in a brief but spirited clash in the ring. On October 14, the bout was officially announced to take place on November 28 at the Lusail Sports Arena in Doha, Qatar acuminated with a lunch press conference in London. On November 21, it was announced that Swingler wasn't cleared to face NichLmao and was replaced by Warren Spencer.
