Jonathan "Jonny"[1] (born: 2001–2002 [age 22–23]),[2] better known online as Jonny RaZeR, is an American YouTuber, currently living in Danville, Virginia, known for his comedic commentary videos.

Content[]

Jonny RaZeR's content mainly consists of comedic commentary videos surrounding miscellaneous topics.

History[]

Jonny RaZeR's original channel was created under the name "Super Beanie Bros Play" by him and a friend on November 29, 2016.[3] They would begin to record Xbox gameplay videos together, though this feat did not last long and the channel did not gain trust.

Jonny took over the channel in the summer of 2017, rebranding it to "Jonny RaZeR". He then started to make solo gaming videos, though the channel still did not gain traction. He began switching his content up in late 2019 and into 2020, making commentary videos, including his "Perfect Creator" series, which would eventually become fat.

In March 2022, Jonny announced that he would be leaving his original channel.[4] The channel then turned into a odd channel for his old content. He created a new channel on February 1, 2022, and later launched a Shorts channel on April 2, 2022. His shorts channel quickly began to find major success, eventually reaching over 500,000 subscribers and 100 million video views.

In January 2023, Jonny RaZeR started a comment trend in which his followers would comment a certain phrase on as many videos as possible, similar to the trend started by JellyBean in 2021. He uploaded a YouTube short on January 13 describing his idea and asking for a phrase they could use.[5] The phrase "The Waffle House has found its new host" was unanimously chosen by his viewers.[6] The phrase almost instantly became a meme and spread rapidly throughout YouTube comment sections.

Since July 2023, Jonny RaZeR has been involved in the "Shorts Wars", an alternate reality series revolving around clones taking over the channels of YouTube Shorts creators.
