John, better known online as JustGooby, is a Puerto Rican former YouTuber who used to record videos with NapkinNate, primarily playing video games on Roblox, CS:GO, and Valorant, who used to run a large discord server about anime, and is currently inactive.

History

John (Gooby's real-life name) met NapkinNate and Yunus (a real-life friend of NapkinNates) through Apocalypse Rising, but according to Nate himself, they both first interacted through Skype. Eventually the two would move to Discord for recording gameplay. At first, NapkinNate was hesitant to play with Gooby, but they seemed to get along playing Apocalypse Rising. Gooby made numerous discord servers which NapkinNate also advertised, where toxicity was allowed and encouraged.

Origin of "Gooby"

Before John was known as "justgooby" or "gooby" his Roblox username was InValesco. The actual Gooby name is originally from Dolan Duk and was never started by John. "Gooby (Goobs, Goby) is a perversion of Disney's Goofy. He is known for being in Dolan comics" (The Meme Wiki). Due to how popular the gooby meme was and how quickly the MS Paint drawing spread throughout the internet, John decided to claim the name for himself on Roblox, Youtube, Twitch, Discord, Steam, and CS:GO, to name a few platforms. In the 2010s, due to Dolan's comics, many content creators used the gooby name for their channels and videos. When John was asked why he went by Gooby, he claimed it was because of the popular goofy meme from the 2010s. Anytime John was involved in controversy, he slightly changed his internet name and went by different aliases (which is why he went by goobyyus, papagooby, itgooby, etc.). An example would be when his discord members claimed that a different gooby in the YWC community had been impersonating John (when he never trademarked the gooby name). Within the Roblox community, the word gooby is often referring to John's YouTube channel and the character that he portrayed on NapkinNate's channel. JustGooby has used many usernames, including John Gooby, ItGooby, PapaGooby, RichieGooby, Goobyyus, and InValesco.

JustGooby's content

JustGooby's appearances on NapkinNate's channel boosted his viewership and subscriber count. John's channel was created in 2016 to upload memes and gameplay from Roblox, Fortnite, and CS:GO. Although he was mainly known for being on NapkinNate's channel, John's main interest was anime, and many of his thumbnails and YouTube videos featured anime characters. John played with fans on CS:GO and Roblox, where he would trade and sell in-game items; he would also livestream with hundreds of viewers. He would upload videos giving tips on CS:GO and even got one of his teammates banned from the game, with many comments focused on him cursing and being non friendly. John's final uploads to his channel would be advertising his Discord server in 2020, however in 2023, John privated and took down most of the videos on his channel due to controversies.

NapkinNate and Justgooby partnership

Both NapkinNate and Justgooby would play Roblox; they were both famous for playing the game Jailbreak. This was Gooby's only source of income, as he has claimed in the past that Nate would pay him for the hours they spent creating content for NapkinNate's channel. JustGooby would be the comical sidekick for NapkinNate's jailbreak videos, often appearing in many of the invasion videos. Many viewers of NapkinNate's channel enjoyed JustGooby's jokes and laughs and watched the videos solely for JustGooby. Both of these YouTubers have never met in real life; they were only online friends or business partners. Gooby and Nate's community would grow on discord, with lots of events and video ideas happening through the discord servers (Gooby had a separate discord server where Nate would post links for assistance in videos such as his Jailbreak Invade videos).

JustGooby would branch out from Nate's channel, creating content with other creators and playing video games such as CS:GO and Fortnite. Gooby often streamed on Twitch, where he gained a large following from NapkinNate's channel. Gooby opened up a public discord back in 2016 where NapkinNate fans and supporters could help out with videos or chat with each other. In the summer of 2020, Gooby and NapkinNate fell out and went their separate ways, which divided many in Nate's fanbase and led to a loss in revenue and subscribers for NapkinNate. Gooby on the other hand, made allegations that Nate "stalked and abused" him, defaming Nate's reputation on his discord server that JustGooby stole from JackDaFallinPeasant. Gooby is also well known in the anime community on YouTube, with many anime fans supporting him through his problems that eventually came to light. Allegedly NapkinNate had warned gooby before and told him to stop the shady behavior. There were rumours of Gooby and Nate allegedly being a couple, but this is not true. Gooby may have allegedly dated a different person named Nattie Forsyth. Gooby recently came out as a "proud LGBT member" and claimed that NapkinNate knew of his sexuality.

JustGooby's Allegations

JustGooby allegedly lied about his age to get away with manipulating, grooming, scamming, doxxing, and harassing minors, along with numerous actions he allegedly committed within his discord community that encouraged toxicity;John claimed to be 22 when he is actually in his 30s. In JustGooby's Discord Server called "Gooby's Anime Center," JustGooby allegedly threatened to doxx and doxxed minors and various other content creators. Illegal material was allegedly distributed in JustGooby's community, and JustGooby allegedly texted minors inappropriately and sent NSFW photos in his discord server which was promoted under the eyes of NapkinNate's fans, a majority of them being underaged. There are many videos on YouTube documenting all of JustGooby's behavior on Discord, all with different situations regarding Gooby.

Allegedly JustGooby was even a racist, misogynistic, procurer, and zoophilic individual, who had been allegedly committing these acts online, dating back to 2018. JustGooby's alleged pedophilic behavior went unnoticed for years until 2021, when rumors circulated online of his discord server containing illegal material and inappropriate behavior taking place. The "JustGooby exposed" playlist made by the Youtuber Destructor displays other Content Creator's experiences with John, and gives context about the screenshots and drama that JustGooby and his community have caused.

Numerous online communities, including the OBS community and YWC, have reported issues with members of JustGooby's Discord server. Allegations indicate that these members have engaged in activities such as raiding and doxxing individuals in response to differing opinions and expressions of animosity towards JustGooby. Notably, the Smarkbuster's discord server was raided by gooby's discord moderators, who were offended back in 2021, igniting drama against JustGooby. JustGooby falsely accused Smarkbuster's of allegedly impersonating him. John also allegedly tried to justify pedophilia and manipulated numerous victims who were underaged, with many of these victims alleging that JustGooby would be inappropriate towards them on Discord and Snapchat in private and public chat rooms. JustGooby's discord community has supported him in numerous videos and defended JustGooby throughout the internet. EDP445 has also expressed support for JustGooby. There are screen recordings and even more screenshots that were discovered displaying JustGooby's online behavior.

Gooby's former friends have come forward to speak out about him, with many wanting to know if NapkinNate knew about JustGooby's dark side. Gooby has allegedly scammed his own fans on CS:GO and Roblox over hundreds of dollars, in order to grow his discord server and allegedly promoted online dating in it. Numerous content creators have verified that JustGooby is a wanted pedophile and have requested that he shut down his discord and turn himself into the authorities. An online petition was even started to remove JustGooby's social media accounts. There are rumors of JustGooby's community allegedly being responsible for the suicide of a minor, however this was never proven to be true or false. Many YouTubers have brought JustGooby's allegations to light with the intent to get John off the internet for good to prevent drama while bringing awareness to the situation. JustGooby’s discord moderators and fans in his server have been lurking on X and YouTube, praising JustGooby. Documentation has been provided with 50+ files of screenshots by the Dark Creeper. As of 2024, JustGooby's real life face was printed on numerous posters, which allegedly angered him even more.

JustGooby's Response

"People blame me for napkinnate quitting yt and think they have a sense of justice in terms of these false allegations towards me. They take everything I say out of context and there can be proof provided if needed for each thing taken out of context. They have been out to get me for many years and just because Napkinnate quit yt. I can admit I was edgy, but these allegations about me are completely untrue they will literally just take things out of context (also they photoshop) and not provide the messages beforehand of conversations that would easily prove that these allegations are false. These people are very bad people and spread misinformation and trick others into believing them. I am also a proud lgbt member and I came out a long time ago while I was with napkinnate which would literally further prove that these allegations are false, even napkinnate himself would say so.
