Kalvin Garrah (born: July 6, 2000) is an American YouTuber who earned a lot of fame for his life stories, being a trans man, pranks, challenges, reaction, and vlogs.
Personal life[]
He was born in Maryland, USA. He is a transgender man but used to identify as nonbinary.[1] Two years after he came out as trans, he had top surgery. He is also mixed latinx ancestry. He has a sister. He used to date Kenna Noel.
It is unknown what Kalvin identifies as in 2025. He has stated he has been off testosterone since 2021 or earlier and does not appear to have started taking it again. He still appears to use he/him pronouns but has taken on a more feminine presentation.

Early youtube[]
Kalvin is transgender, most of his older videos were about experience as a transgender person and transphobia. He predominantly made truscum/transmedicalist oriented content and believed that there are only two genders and rejected the use of neopronouns and existence of xenogenders and nonbinary genders.
2021 onwards
Kalvin's recent content focuses more on talking about raw, real experiences as a nonpassing, effeminate transgender person navigating the world. His killa cast videos featuring his friend Noah (now removed) detailed his experiences for example, attending his friends wedding and being harassed by a transphobic conservative man who kept misgendering him and Kale had to tell him he's a real man and trans men are men. He has since denounced truscum and is a supporter of nonbinary identities.
Kalvin's tiktok (@shadesofkal) focuses more on his love for Lana Del Ray (and other female singers), astrology, true crime (he also has a now deleted true crime channel). He also talks about his experiences as a visible queer trans person here (unknown if he still identifies as male).
He also makes tiktoks singing and playing guitar, some fans have taken to calling him "abuela sardine" as a term of endearment.
One of his popular tiktoks involved him talking about working at a gas station (which he describes as "Lana-coded") and being hit on by an older conservative gentleman which made him very uncomfortable.

Arrest[]
Kalvin was arrested for a DUI in 2023, he has spoken in detail about this on the "killacast" podcast. Kale explained that he chose to spend the night in a female jail due to the fact he was scared of sexual assault and was placed with a woman that he described as racist and educated her on race and trans issues. Many fans of Kalvin said he was being irresponsible by driving while on drugs and a bad influence to young truscum men by choosing female jail.
Detransition theories[]
Many have theorized on r/truscum and around the internet that Kalvin is detransitioning to female due to presenting in a much more feminine way and stopping testosterone. Many have accused Kalvin of hypocrisy due to his current presentation and his earlier content. This has been unconfirmed by Kalvin themself.
Phalloplasty[]
Kalvin has mentioned he has now got a phalloplasty but many have disputed the legitimacy of his claims as it is not possible to have a phallo while being off HRT.
