Karl Jobst (born: February 7, 1986YouTuber who makes videos about speedrunning. Most of his videos are 10-20 minutes long, and cover popular speedrunning achievements, controversies, and events. Jobst features playlists which have different videos from various channels, and posts frequent updates on his community page. He also has a Twitch account of the same name, with around 15,000 followers.

Jobst uploaded his first video on October 11, 2014 (Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 64 and Goldeneye 007 beaten in under 1 hour!). This video has since been made unlisted and is no loner accessible without a direct link. The earliest remaining public video on his channel was uploaded on December 2, 2017. Titled, "GOLDENEYE N64 - DAM AGENT 0:52 - UNTIED WORLD RECORD", the video showcases his world record time of 00:52 in the 'GoldenEye007 N64 - Dam - Agent' category and his reaction to achieving it.[1]
Over a year later, on December 15, 2018, Jobst uploaded his first speedrunning analysis video ("Advanced Speedrunning Principles - Episode 1: The 50/50 Rule"). From this point onwards, Jobst would primarily upload speedrunning commentary/analysis/explained videos to his channel. His most recent video being episode 2 in his "Can you spot the fake speedrun?" series.[2]
Jobst's most popular video covers the faked Super Mario Bros. speedrun uploaded to the Badabun channel. Since it was published on January 10, 2020, the video has amassed over 12 million views.[3] His second most popular video covers the controversial cheating allegations made against YouTuber and speedrunner Dream. This video has garnered over 3.2 million views and upon its release received positive reception.[4]
Controversy
On September 23rd, 2021, Karl Jobst revealed that he was being sued by the controversial figure Billy Mitchell for defamation after multiple videos by Jobst that broke down and disputed Mitchel's claims he did not fake his old speedrunning world records.[citation needed] So far, no updates on the court case have been publicly revealed.
On the same day, Jobst spoke about being cancelled by some users after disputed claims that he was involved and participated in racist and offensive conversations. These claims are largely considered to have been disproven by Jobst in his video (I'm Being SUED And CANCELLED!).
