Michael "Kat" Jackson[2] (born: June 27, 2000 ),[3] better known online as Katzun, is an American YouTube animator. He specializes in producing and animating story videos.
YouTube career[]
Michael was heavily inspired by animator and cartoonist TheOdd1sOut when he joined YouTube, starting with a video called "Short People Problems (animation)". After that, Michael posted a second video about fandoms, and so on. Michael’s channel soon reached 100,000 subscribers, and published a video revealing his face and celebrating 100,000 subscribers.
Personal life[]
In 2018, Michael suffered a fall that left him with a traumatic brain injury.
In 2020, Michael also revealed that they were non-binary and use they/them pronouns. In his "I'm Transgender - Coming Out pt. 2" video, they mentioned they like girls, non-binary people, and occasionally a guy.
In 2021, Michael revealed on Twitter that they suffer from schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, he was diagnosed in 2018 which was around the time they suffered from their brain injury.[4]
In 2022, Michael posted on social media that he now uses they/he pronouns and is bisexual. He also started taking testosterone February 18, 2022, though they have not yet published updates.[citation needed]
In 2024, Michael has stated on Instagram that they do not plan on keeping up with YouTube.[5]
Katzun's Kloset[]
Katzun's Kloset is a second channel Michael started (after a video on coming out), dedicated to publishing live-action videos about LGBTQ+ topics and stories. The most-viewed video on the channel is a story about being queer in a heavily religious school. Currently, this channel is where he posts streams that revolve around a certain topic.
