Kelly Brianne[1] (born: April 24, 1982 (1982-04-24) [age 42]) is an American singer, songwriter and television personality. She rose to fame in 2002, after winning the first season of American Idol, which earned her a record deal with RCA Records. Since her debut, she's released a total of 9 studio albums, including Thankful (2002), Breakaway (2004), My December (2007), All I Ever Wanted (2009), Stronger (2011), Wrapped in Red (2013), Piece by Piece (2015), Meaning of Life (2017), and When Christmas Comes Around... (2021), as well as many iconic pop songs, probably the most well-known of which being "A Moment Like This" and "Breakaway", from her first and second albums respectively.

  • Her song Breakaway was written by Avril Lavigne.
  • She voiced the character Delta Dawn in the 2020 Dreamworks film Trolls World Tour.
  • In February 2022, she removed her "Clarkson" surname from her legal name, her legal name in her personal life. She still uses it for her professional career.[1]
