Laura Almeida[6] (born: May 16, 2004),[7] better known online as key vs. locket (sometimes styled as keyvslocket), twikipedia or delta,[8] is a Brazilian[9] experimental musician.[9]
Almeida uses the names delta and key vs. locket to make music,[10] while the twikipedia name is presumed to be retired.[11]
Personal life[]
Throughout her childhood, Almeida lived in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro with her mother.[12] She did move to New Jersey, United States, where her father lives, when she was approximately 14-15, however, she did not particularly like living there, citing everything "looking the same" there as a primary reason for her not liking living in the United States.[12] She appears to travel from Brazil to the United States and vice-versa at an unknown frequency[12] and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.[1]
Almeida currently uses she/her pronouns. She previously went by they/she[13] and they/them pronouns.[14]
As evidenced by several photos of her, Almeida appears to be a cigarette smoker.[15]
Music[]
A considerable amount of Almeida's public songs are in English. However, she also makes some songs in Portuguese, with some of her English songs containing Portuguese verses. Almeida has received several comments from Portuguese-speaking fans asking her to make more songs in Portuguese.[12]
Style[]
As twikipedia[]
Most of Almeida's songs under this name are rap-oriented and tend to feature 808 percussion and other synthesized instruments. She tended to use autotune on her vocals quite frequently on them. The mood of her songs tends to be rather aggressive.[16]
However, in her final projects under this name, Almeida appeared to be phasing out of this style and switching to a more rock-oriented one, citing her mental health as a primary reason for this change. Almeida also stated that she did not know what the future held for her.

Originally made as an alternate account of twikipedia, Almeida continues to produce songs under this name which bear somewhat of a resemblance to her works under twikipedia, albeit more experimental.[22]

Under this name, Almeida primarily produces rock-oriented music, though she also produces some singer-songwriter songs.[23]
