Joshua Fay Saunders (born: March 26, 1991), better known online as KingCobraJFS or Gothic King Cobra, is an American YouTuber, streamer, guitarist, and songwriter. He has gained infamy and a cult following due to his eccentric behavior and actions.
History and Life[]
Joshua began making YouTube videos in 2011 about his daily life. He began in his fathers basement before moving out into his own apartment sometime in late 2012. When Joshua was 19, he met a woman named Stephanie while attending Job Corps and they began dating. Stephanie and Joshua broke up in 2014 after they both cheated on each other. Joshua has confirmed himself that he has Asperger's.
Today, Joshua's streams and videos usually consist of him consuming copious amounts of tobacco, liquor, and sometimes food. His alcohol consumption has gotten him in trouble on various occasions. In April 2018, the police showed up at his door due to noise complaints during a stream of him getting drunk, puking, and screaming[1].
In August 2019, Joshua was swatted during a stream[2]. The swatting perpetrator impersonated Joshua and told 911 that he was going to shoot his wife and children, prompting the police to storm Joshua's apartment just to find out that it was a hoax and that he lived alone with no wife or kids.
In October 2020, Joshua received a call from his father telling him that he was going to be evicted from the apartment and had 30 days to move[3]. The reason for the eviction is likely due to years of smoking indoors and him using a blow torch once on stream. Joshua has since moved into a new apartment and continues to smoke indoors.
On December 23, 2022, Joshua was arrested for public intoxication and spent the night in jail[4]. During the incident Joshua was drunk at a Loaf 'N Jug (a convenience store that doubles as a gas station) and stepped out of the van to smoke a cigarette, him smoking in front of the flammable material of the gas station is what presumably caused him to be arrested.

Animal Cruelty[]
Joshua has received backlash for the way he poorly treats animals, with some instances of his poor treatment being shown on video and others being actions he admitted to doing. On September 6, 2021, Joshua found a praying mantis on his curtain that crawled in when he opened the window, which he decided to keep as a pet, naming her Mrs. Green.[5] On September 11, 2021, Joshua blew smoke on Mrs. Green and tried to feed her his homemade drink combination,[6] later that day, she was barely able to move and so Joshua decided to bring her outside.[7] He confirmed on September 18th, 2021 that Mrs. Green has died, and he decided to cover her dead body with hot glue and put it on a staff he made,[8] which he sold on Etsy. Joshua has also admitted to once finding a baby bird on the ground in a parking lot while on a bike ride, then searching for it's nest but to no avail, and so he decided to put it on the ground and run it over with his bike tire to "put it out of it's misery".[9]
On April 24, 2023, Joshua adopted a pet bearded dragon from his neighbor Ian, which he named Puff.[10] During the following months, Puff was shown to be neglected and poorly treated by him. Instances of neglect include Joshua putting an unnecessary large amount of pellets in Puff's food bowl,[11] which can be dangerous to bearded dragons,[12] blowing weed into Puff's tank,[13] losing Puff for a few days and letting him run around the house,[14][15] and dumping his own food into Puff's tank and not cleaning up what's uneaten.[16] On August 12, 2023, it was revealed that Puff began twitching,[17] which can be a sign for nutrient deficiencies or other medical problems in bearded dragons.[18] On November 16, 2023, Joshua revealed on Facebook that Puff has gone missing.[19] According to his sister, Puff ran away after Joshua took him outside,[20] due to the low temperatures in Casper which can be fatal to bearded dragons, Puff was presumed dead by many of Joshua's followers.
