Kristine Sloth (born: January 13, 1999 (1999-01-13) [age 25])[2] is a Danish[citation needed] YouTuber and Instagram influencer who mainly focuses on vlogs, fashion and beauty. She has described herself as being 'addicted to YouTube, coffee and make-up'.[3]

She also owns another channel, called Kristine Sloth Second.[citation needed]

Career[]

Kristine has been making YouTube videos since she was 14 years old. Her earliest videos almost exclusively revolved around beauty/fashion videos, with her videos broadening to challenges, vlogs and more.[citation needed]

After finishing 9th grade,[4] Kristine started doing YouTube full-time rather than going to a gymnasium, a secondary education usually expected for students in Denmark (the Danish version of “High school”).[5]

She was in August[?] 2016, together with fellow YouTuber Rasmus Brohave, featured on the kids' television talk-show Sofie Linde Show.[6][7]

She released a podcast in 2021, called Venner - Med Kristine Sloth (Friends - with Kristine Sloth), a podcast mainly revolving about friendships.[8]

Books[]

Kristine has according to Saxo, a Danish book retailer, released four books; Min Verden (My World, 2014), Enestående (Outstanding, 2015), Både og - og hverken enten eller (2017), and Strik på budget (Knitting on budget, 2021).[9]

Splay[]

In September, 2014, Kristine announced that she was part of the YouTube network Splay, also appearing in the launch video of the channel.[10][11] In December, 2017, she made a video where she announced that she had left Splay in favor of another network.[12]

Trips to Africa[]

In April, 2017, Kristine went to Kenya to shoot a five-episode series about women's rights in the country.[13] The series was nominated for Series of the Year at Guldtuben 2017.[14]

In mid-2018, Kristine went to east-Africa with her mom to, once again, film a series focused on women's rights.[15][16] The series won the award for Message of the Year at Guldtuben 2018.[17]

YarnJunkies[]

In September, 2019, Kristine posted a video discussing her anxiety,[18] and afterwards stopped posting on YouTube. To deal with her anxiety/stress, Kristine started knitting. This developed into a knitting-oriented company called YarnJunkies, founded under the COVID-19 pandemic.[19][20]

Controversy[]

In early 2016, a nude picture of Kristine was leaked by Kristine's ex-boyfriend. Kristine posted a video in April 2016 discussing it,[21] and discussed it again in June, 2017, where she also promoted an online service designed to help victims in situations alike.[22]

In late 2018/early 2019, a video of Kristine from 2013 resurfaced, where she, on her vacation at Barcelona, had complained about the amount of gay men at the bars.[23][24]
