Kuwagata Nano ( 鍬形ナノ ), also known as Kuwanano is an independent VTuber, singer and songwriter from Austria.[1] The last name "Kuwagata" means "stag beetle" and is a play on how she is a "computer bug", but also a literal bug.
Content
The oldest Video on her channel is a cover of Unravel - Ling Tosite Sigure, and she would continue to cover songs such as Crime and Punishment - DECO*27, Lost Ones Weeping - Neru, Persecution Complex Cellphone Girl - GigaP, King - Kanaria, Queen - Kanaria, Poker Face - Yucha-P, Splatter Party - Camellia and Dilemma - DECO*27.
She also released multiple original songs in her time as a Vtuber, the first one known as "DELETE". The genres of her Original Songs vary from Rock and EDM to even Electroswing as shown in her latest release "Taboo". She writes her own English lyrics and vocal melodies. Content Creators such as Sunny Hinode or Juudenki translate Nano's English lyrics to Japanese for the final versions.
She frequently uploads Shorts / Reels to TikTok, Instagram and YouTube Shorts.
She streams on Twitch, usually a mix of gaming, chatting and karaoke. She prefers to stream games that can be played with a controller and especially likes cozy farming games or Pokémon. However, sometimes she challenges herself by playing something entirely else, as seen in her 'Getting Over It stream.
Nano also offers Songwriting Commissions (Original & Translyrics in English or German as well as Toplining / Vocal Melodies).
Collaborations
She used to sing in a Bandori Cover Group called "Nijidori".[2]

Partnerships
In December 2021, she hosted a charity stream for Katzenhoffnung Steiermark, an Austrian charity foster home for cats with disabilities. By the end of the stream she had reached 250% of the actual final goal[4].
In 2023, the Japanese VTuber MaiR released her Major Debut Album, on which Kuwanano wrote the lyrics and melody for the title "Within The Noise".[5]
In March 2023, Kuwanano collaborated with Pastelmelon to release an original Kuwanano Hoodie as merchandise.[6]

She is a lesbian.[7] She has a brother and a sister.[8][9]
Channel names
Her channel was originally called SNII VT. The reason for the change was, according to her, that her music was not easy to find, as well as that her old name (SNII) had no real meaning to her character and was just a nickname she had been going by for a long time.
