Lael Hansen originally had a YouTube channel called "lovelael", and she originally posted rap covers and reaction videos on the channel. However, she took a strange hiatus after announcing that depression was making her YouTube career difficult, and deleted all her social media accounts, and was nowhere to be found until 2020, in which she rebooted her channel, with it now being "Lael Hansen", creating a new TikTok as well and posting 'depressing' TikToks that often slam other artists like Lil Nas X and Billie Eilish for selling their souls in what is supposed to be a marketing strategy for music she plans on releasing. Her debut single, "im all alone" was released in January 13 2021, and since then she has been making music, and has a whole album to her credit, "It Didn't Know It Was A Butterfly."
