Lawrence "Lawrie" Alfred Rose (born: January 10, 1990 (1990-01-10) [age 35][1][2], Ipswich[3]), known online as Lawrie's Mechanical Marvels or LMM is a British YouTuber who uploads content regarding heritage railways and motoring.

Personal Life[]

Lawrence Alfred Rose, born in 1990 lives in Ipswich, Suffolk, England[4] he has worked as a photographer[4] and an assistant film director[2][5] having worked on The Girl Who Ran Away (Scared) from The World (2014), the short film Inferno (2016) by Dara Safvatnia[6], Servants' Quarters (2016), With Love from Suffolk (2016) and multiple other titles[7]. He is a certified Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) driver[2]. He attended Thurleston High School and has a BTEC National Diploma in Media from Suffolk New College[3].

Collecting My First MR2 - And Driving It 300 Miles Home! uploaded on 27 November 2018 at 22 minutes and 56 seconds in duration is the first video on the channel, it has over 2.6K views, 122 likes, and 17 comments as of 8 July 2024[8]. This video was produced in collaboration with JayEmm on Cars who uploaded the original video on 1 March 2017 as Buying a Toyota MR2 on eBay for £600 and driving it 300 miles home![9] having recorded it on 28 February 2017[8].

Breaking the Law - Completely Illegal Steam Engine from EngineDIY Shop! uploaded on 25 October 2023 at 22 minutes and 24 seconds in length is the most popular video on the channel as of 8 July 2024 with over 932K views, over 16K likes, and 2,514 comments[10]. The channel trailer for subscribed users is Help me save Ruston 165 No.281266 from being sent to SCRAP uploaded on 28 May 2024 at 5 minutes and 51 seconds long, it has over 35.6K views, over 2.1K likes, and 343 comments as of 8 July 2024[11].
