―Channel description

Yotam Perel (born June 13, 1991 (1991-06-13) [age 33]), known online as LazyPillow or LazyMuffin, is an Israeli animator, musician, voice actor, and YouTuber. He is best known for his absurd and surreal animated videos and multiple recurring series, including Nameless, Yotam and Fantasia, and Lazy Writing. Yotam also gained notoriety for his annual birthday songs, in which he reflects on the passing year of his life.[1]

History[]

Career[]

Yotam was taught how to use Adobe Flash by his older brother, and he began experimenting with animation in the program at the age of 12. His first public submission on Newgrounds was a simple animation titled "Break Dancing Stick", released in 2003. He has won numerous Daily awards on Newgrounds, and is also a staple of the website Albino Blacksheep, where many of his Flash movies are showcased.[2]

In his 18th birthday video, it was revealed that Yotam was intended to serve three years in mandatory army service when he turned 18 years old. However, he was let go just before his 19th birthday. Around this time, he also worked on developing a animated pilot for 20th Century Fox.

From 2010 to 2012, Yotam co-hosted the Wisenheimers podcast, with fellow popular animator, Max Gilardi, known online as hotdiggedydemon. Topics ranged from then-current events, animation, media, with coarse language and ironic humor. A recurring segment included emails sent in by fans.[3]

Yotam has been involved in several professional productions, creating shorts for the show TripTank on Comedy Central, and working on C.H. Greenblatt's Hanna Barbera reboot, Jellystone, when he traveled to the United States. During this time, he had to stay in the country for an extended period due to unforeseen circumstances involving the COVID-19 pandemic.

Trivia[]

  • Yotam provides the voice of Harrison in Camp Camp, an animated series developed by Rooster Teeth.
