Joshua Jagan Hamilton (born: October 6, 1998), better known online as Lil Darkie (also known as Brahman), is an Indian-American musician, rapper, and music producer known for making experimental songs.
History[]
He started in 2015 at 17, as "Brahman", which the name originated from a Hindu concept of the same name.[1] He released his debut album on July 31, 2016, and was available on his now-deleted SoundCloud. He stopped making music as Brahman, but still uses the Brahman persona since 2021.
In 2017, he made his first song under the "Lil Darkie" persona, named "THESE N***AS", which was a freestyle on his Instagram live.
He created his YouTube channel on June 13, 2019, and uploaded his first video, which was an audio track of his song, myparentsaresleepinginthenextroomandidontwantowakethemup. The song is on his SoundCloud.

On his channel, he uploads music videos or audio tracks of his own songs. He plans to upload alternative content.[2]
Controversy[]
HOLOCAUST take down[]
On January 7, 2020, the video on the song was taken down due to the cover art, which consists of three character standing in front of the flag of Nazi Germany, but the Swastika was taken out.[3] This also happened on Spotify and SoundCloud for the same reason.
Now, on YouTube, the cover art shows a red tilaka on a dark background, while on Spotify, there is no cover art, but with the lyric feature working.[4][5]
Usage of slurs[]
On most of his songs, he uses the n-word on multiple occurrences. Lil Darkie also uses the word f*ggot in some of his songs despite being LGBT himself. he's stated that he says the n-word, but never in a way to demean or put anyone down, along with being a mixed race.[6] He also said that any slur means nothing, and doesn't think it's a problem. He also believes that anybody shouldn't be treated differently than anyone else.
