Liquid Richard is a YouTuber and musician that is known for making satirical rap music sampling streamers, mainly Wings of Redemption.
History[]
Liquid Richard created his YouTube channel in 2018 and began releasing music. Some time in early 2019, Liquid Richard's channel would be deleted and he would create a new one.[1]
Wings of Redemption once described Liquid Richard's music as "14 years of content" "taken out of context for the most part."[2] Wings has also once described Liquid Richard as a "good troll channel."[3] Wings has also claimed that Liquid Richard "steals" content, despite the use of his material being original and transformative. Wings claims he is not responsible for copyright striking or taking down Liquid Richard's channel.[4]
A viewer once donated $150 to Wings of Redemption for him to play Liquid Richard's music on stream, to which he agreed.[5]
In mid 2020, Liquid Richard would suddenly stop releasing new music in the midst of working on his fifth album titled Villain, which he had stated was "50% done."[6] His last announced song was titled BOOM, and had a music video planned,[7] but this never released after Liquid Richard "disappeared."
Liquid Richard has hearted a comment from late 2023/early 2024,[8] showing that he still has access to the channel. The comment says "This world needs liquid Richard to come back and make content."
On September 11, 2024 Liquid Richard replied to a fan on Twitter asking for more music, saying "Maybe someday. Still not sure how I would do it, using AI or regular soundbites. I appreciate that people still care though."[9]
