Dean DiMarzo (born May 21, 1991),[1] better known online as longestsoloever is an American YouTube musician known for making cover songs from video games, and, most recently, original nerdcore songs either by himself or as a collaborative artist.
History[]
2006[]
DiMarzo first joined YouTube on July 6, 2006. His first post featured a cover of "Through the Fire and Flames" by DragonForce, which was posted on October 24. On November 9, DiMarzo did a cover of "Searching" by Joe Satriani.
2007[]
He did another Joe Satriani song, "Always with Me, Always with You" on January 31, 2007. DiMarzo's first live performance featured a cover of "Surfing with the Alien" by Joe Satriani at the Dutchess County Youth Festival, which premiered on May 31, 2007. His first video game cover was the main theme from Contra, released on June 9. On October 5, DiMarzo did a cover of the main theme from the Halo video game series.
2008[]
On April 24, DiMarzo did a cover of "Jordan" by Buckethead. On May 23, DiMarzo performed at a high school concert with a cover of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen. On August 16, 2008 DiMarzo would release his first guitar tutorial titled "Guitar Lesson 1 - Warm-up Exercises". On August 21, DiMarzo did a live performance at the Duchess County Fair with a cover of "Summer Song" by Joe Satriani.
2021[]
On March 13, 2021 DiMarzo did a cover of "Ugh" from the video game Friday Night Funkin' this would cause his channel to massively increase in popularity and inspire him to make covers of Friday Night Funkin' music for a long period of time after. On October 29, 2021 DiMarzo released the first original nerdcore song associated with the channel "Dread" based off the game Metroid Dread.
2022[]
On December 28, 2022 DiMarzo would release A video titled "I'm done with..." In which he states that he is done Making covers of songs and will focus on making original Nerdcore music.
2023[]
In early 2023 Dimarzo launched his music education platform "Quick Start Music" (Abbrv. QSM) to create a "better way to bring music education to the world"[1]
