Ludwig Anders Ahgren (born: July 6, 1995 (1995-07-06) [age 29]) is an American YouTuber, Podcaster, and former Twitch streamer. He is one of the most popular streamers on Youtube and is primarily known for his video game-related content, and his non-video-game-related content such as gambling, contests, and gaming shows. On his YouTube channel, he streams and uploads highlights of his streams and shorts which garner millions of views.[1]

History[]

On March 14, 2021, Ludwig started a 'Subathon'[2] which is a type of stream where viewers can increase the length of the stream through subscriptions and sometimes donations. Ludwig's Subathon ended on April 13, 2021 after gaining traction with a number of news publications and breaking the record for the most active subscriptions on twitch at 283,066.[3] This record would later on be broken by Kai Cenat on February 28, 2023 with 306,621 subscriptions.[4]

Leaving Twitch[]

On November 30, 2021, Ahgren and YouTube Gaming announced that he will be starting to stream exclusively on YouTube and will be leaving Twitch.[5][6] He released his final stream on his Twitch VODs channel a few hours before him and YouTube Gaming's Announcement.[7] After the announcement, multiple streamers on Twitch reacted to his YouTube deal announcement.[8] Twitch also wished him the best on his new chapter on his streaming career. He released a video on November 29, 2021 on his Mogul Mail channel, clarifying why exactly he left Twitch.[9]

He stated that his partnership contract with Twitch ended on November and he was talking to both Twitch and YouTube, he was just originally gonna chat to YouTube to buff his deal with Twitch and stay with the platform. He also said that he had to grind for hours on Twitch to get more money but then YouTube started to offer him more money than Twitch, straight up. So, after asking opinions from his family and friends. He decided to do a coin flip 1 month before his deal with Twitch expires (Heads for him going on YouTube Streaming and Tails for him staying on Twitch Streaming) and he had tails so he first declined the YouTube deal. But after deciding a few days on November, he decided to go to YouTube because he was allowed by YouTube to stream less hours and earn more money. (Timestamp: 4:05)[10]

As of now, Ludwig posts his YouTube VODs on his former Twitch VODs channel.[11]
