Luis Alfonso Rodríguez López-Cepero (born April 15, 1978 (1978-04-15) [age 41]), better known by his stage name Luis Fonsi, is a Puerto Rican singer, songwritter, and actor. He is most known for his worldwide hit song 'Despacito'. Because of this song and music video, LuisFonsiVEVO became one the fastest growing YouTube channels of all time and is currently the 40th most subscribed and 63rd most viewed YouTube channel of all time, with over 24.9 million subscribers and 16.5 billion video views.

On January 12, 2017, VEVO released and uploaded Luis Fonsi's song and music video for 'Despacito' featuring rapper and singer Daddy Yankee. The official music video is now the most liked and viewed YouTube video of all time, with over 27 million likes and over 5 billion views. Canadian singer Justin Bieber was featured in an English remix, which only boosted the song's success, making it one of the most popular songs in the entire world.

Due to the song and music video, Luis Fonsi's career success has skyrocketed.

Hacking

On April 10, 2018, a hacker got onto Luis Fonsi's VEVO channel and deleted 'Despacito'. The next day, YouTube permanetly restored the video. It is the 8th "most viewed YouTube video" to be deleted and the first to be deleted temporaily.
