When creators collide, lunch kits get lit

―Lunchly advertisement[4]

Lunchly is a brand of snack kits created and marketed by Lunchly LLC. The brand was founded by MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul.[5][6]

YouTube channel[]

The channel was created on September 16, 2024.[7] The channel's first video was created on the same day.[8]

Brand[]

History[]

The snack was announced on September 16, 2024, by MrBeast, KSI, and Logan Paul as a collaboration.[9]

Products[]

Lunchly currently has three varieties of lunch kits, which are all reinterpretations of Lunchables products.[10]

  1. "The Pizza", which is based on the "Pizza with Pepperoni" style from Lunchables. It is a build-it-yourself pizza with tomato sauce and cheese, and also includes Cherry Freeze Prime and Milk Crunch Feastables.[11]
  2. Fiesta Nachoes, which is based on the "Lunchables Spicy Nachos" style from Lunchables. It is a dipping meal with Nacho Chips with "queso blanco" dipping cheese and salsa, and also includes Strawberry Banana Prime and Milk Chocolate Feastables.[12]
  3. Turkey Stack 'Ems, which is based on the "Turkey and American Cheese Cracker Stackers" style from Lunchables. It is a build-it-yourself cracker sandwich with cheese and crackers, turkey, and a small Ice Pop Prime bottle, and also includes a snack-sized Feastables Milk Chocolate Bar.[13]

Controversy[]

Lunchly was criticized by a number of Internet personalities.

Marketing[]

YouTuber DanTDM expressed his disapproval of Lunchly, stating: "This is selling crap to kids who don't know better than to trust the people who are selling it to them."[14] In response, KSI claimed that Lunchly's negative reception stemmed from a dislike that critics have for Paul, Donaldson, and himself.[15]

Forbes described the three packaged meals as "almost identical to existing offerings by Lunchables."[9] The product was also criticized for being marketed to children.[14]

Moldy cheese claims[]

Reviewing the product in October, YouTuber Rosanna Pansino reported finding mold growing on the cheese in a packet of "The Pizza" style.[16] Following this, a number of social media users claimed to have likewise found mold in Lunchly packages.[17] The Food and Drug Administration confirmed that it received over ten complaints about Lunchly, with one consumer reporting an illness linked to the product.[18]

Trivia[]

  • Lunchly is meant to be a direct competitor and "healthier alternative" to Lunchables, despite the moldy cheese claims.[19]
  • Lunchly contains Prime and Feastables.[5]
