Cole Bennett (born: May 14, 1996 (1996-05-14) [age 28]), better known online as Lyrical Lemonade, is an American YouTuber and music video director who is known for previously working with popular rappers such as Lil Pump and Juice WRLD. Since his rise of popularity after directing a music video for Juice WRLD, he has worked with many other stars in the music industry.

History[]

Cole originally founded Lyrical Lemonade as an internet blog. When he was a high school student in Plano, Illinois, his mother came up with the name of the blog and also gave him a video camera. He soon began directing music videos for local Chicago rappers, including Vic Mensa and Chance the Rapper, which he uploaded on the Lyrical Lemonade channel, along with live show recaps, cyphers, documentaries, and interviews.

The channel eventually expanded into other sub-genres of hip hop beyond the local Chicago scene, such as the emerging sub-genre SoundCloud rap. In 2016 and early 2017, he gained initial recognition working with artists such as Famous Dex, Lil Pump, Smokepurpp, and Ski Mask the Slump God. He later directed numerous music videos for hit songs, which include Ski Mask the Slump God's BabyWipe, Lil Skies' Red Roses and Nowadays, and YBN Nahmir's Bounce Out With That.

In May 2018, he became one of the most recognizable music video directors after directing the music video for Juice WRLD's Lucid Dreams, which peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100. The video has surpassed 400 million views on YouTube, becoming his most popular video on the channel. He has since worked with mainstream figures in hip hop such as J. Cole and Wiz Khalifa.

In 2022 Cole would announce that him and Lyrical Lemonade would be releasing an album call server talking about the album for the rest of the year into the new year of 2023 with a possible 2023 release date for the album. In June 2023, the first single from the album will be released that being Doomsday with Juice WRLD & Cordae with this song having been recorded back in 2019 before Juice's death in December of that year, this song being the only song that Juice had a idea for a music video for. With Jared's ideas for the music video being him and Cordae doing a spoof XXL freshman freestyle cipher, in which them comedically and violently kill the other people rapping in the cipher with sword and light sabres although ultimately, this wouldn’t come to be due to his death with the final release music video instead having Cordae rapping through a seemingly never ending long office hallway in a black suit with a yellow tie interacting with the other office workers, and then in transitions become Juice before switching back to Cordae and vice versa until the end of the music video with the music video, beginning, and ending with a yellow curtain, with Juice in the video using a mix of CGI, archive footage, & deep faking on top of Cordae body which Cole stated in the behind the scenes, for the video would be the consistent theme throughout the videos for the album. Witth the song and music video being released on June 23, 2023, Cole also confirmed around the same time that the album will be released in 2023.

The next single from the album would be Guitar In My Room with Lil Durk & Kid Cudi with this music video having to be delayed due to complications involving Durk being in the hospital and Cudi about to release a new song but the song and music video would be released in September 2023 in the behind-the-scenes video call explained the delay of this video, but also mentioned the plan was for there to be 3 singles before the album, and then the album would drop the following month after the final single he also had mentioned that he had planned to stitch all the music players together from the album into a visual album movie, and that there would be a different colour for each album with the first album being yellow.

The third and final single from the album would be Hello There with Lil Tracy, Corbin, & Black Kray with this music video actually been shot before the musical for Guitar In My Room, however, after complications with that video of this video, also got delayed with the song being an interpretation of blink-182 I Miss You which blink approved upon after leaving a comment approving the song on Cole’s Instagram post about the song and mentioning them. Following this in late October 2023, a playlist containing the album singles on the YouTube channel would be updated, having a description revealing the albums name to be ALL IS YELLOW (A Lyrical Lemonade Album).
