Måneskin is an Italian rock band formed in 2016, in Rome, Italy. The band consists of vocalist Damiano David, bassist Victoria de Angelis, guitarist Thomas Raggi, and drummer Ethan Torchio.

History[]

On January 9, 2017, Måneskin would Create their Channel, However, No Videos would be Uploaded until May 4, 2017.

On May 4, 2017, Måneskin Would upload their First Video titled "Måneskin - Raggamuffin Selah Sue COVER".

Formation[]

Damiano, Victoria, and Thomas first met each other in high school in Rome, with Ethan, who is from Frosinone, joining them later on. Even though they met in 2015, the band officially formed in 2016.

X Factor[]

In 2017, the band took part in season 11 of the Italian X Factor show, finishing in second place. They had a mentor known as Manuel Agnelli, who guided them. There, they sang many famous songs, including Beggin', Take Me Out, and Somebody Told Me.

Beggin'[]

The band’s cover of Beggin' became popular and spread across platforms such as TikTok and often used in YouTube Shorts. A live recording of Beggin' was recorded live at Ronquières Festival 2021, and was released on September 27, 2021. They also had a concert on ESCAPE2021 with the collaboration of the Noxcrew.

Eurovision Song Contest 2021[]

On March 3, 2021, Måneskin released the Song "Zitti E Buoni", which would be the Italian Song Entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2021. It would get 1st with 524 Points

  • Måneskin is Danish for "moonlight", which was suggested by Victoria, as she is half-Danish.
