Milo Yiannopoulos (born October 18, 1984 (1984-10-18) [age 40])[citation needed] is a British internet troll and former journalist.

Milo worked with Breitbart News from late 2014 to early 2017.[citation needed] He was fired after multiple clips of him condoning child molestation went viral.[citation needed]

As of 2021, he has been banned from all social media platforms.[citation needed]

Content[]

Milo's first video was of him recounting his experience at a feminist conference, where he was not allowed to clap as it was "triggering".[2] His next video, "why hurt someone," documented his struggle with his identity. In the video, he revealed through pieces of paper that his name was Milo and that he lived in London, where One Direction also lived, and that meant he should be happy, but he was feeling sad, scared, and lonely. He met people with similar experiences online, and he ended the video by "coming out" as "transblack".[3] He would make similar videos trolling and satirizing the social justice movement, and his trolling became a staple of his comedy.

The channel also uploads interviews of Milo with various people as well as clips from him appearing on TV[4][5]. Notorious for appearing at universities and protests, and he repeatedly challenges feminists to debate him.[6] He also responds to people who call him out rather caustically.[7] When a woman assaulted him, his husband, and his friend, he reacted by looking her up, getting her fired and printing her tweets out and reading them out on his show.[8] He is also extremely critical of Hunter Avallone, calling wagnerocks his hero for exposing him.

He was also the herald of the Straight pride parade. In 2021, he stated that he was as an ex-gay and began taking donations to build a conversion therapy center in Florida. However, several people such as Blaire White believe he is trolling again, and trying to get money from anti-gay conservatives to clear off his debt.[9] At a college speech in November 2021, Milo announced that he received $24,000 from Pennsylvania State University.

Milo's channel was deleted in August 2021, after an interview with rapper Bryson Gray was reported as hate speech. He previously falsely predicted on the Killstream in June 2020 that his channel would be deleted within a week.

Political Views[]

Milo is anti-LGBT, anti-abortion, anti-feminism, anti immigration, pro-gun and anti Islam. His most viewed videos are of him debating Muslims, as he is extremely critical of Islam. He has been credited as popularizing anti-feminism, as well as Gay conservatism. He stated on Telegram that he would do everything in his power to destroy Gay conservatism, since he created it. He is critical of right-wing gay figures such as Lady MAGA, a pro-Trump drag queen, and Dave Rubin, a gay liberal commentator whose show he appeared on in 2016.

He is also critical of Ben Shapiro due to his opposition to Trump in 2016, and his neoconservative leanings.

He was formerly a Zionist and called for the death of Hamas leaders. However, in 2021 he stated that his Zionism was fueled by Islamophobia.

Personal Life[]

His birth name is Milo Hanrahan, but he named himself after his maternal grandmother after he lived with her during his teens. He was initially raised by his mother and stepfather, who was extremely abusive to him and Milo admitted to being molested by a priest as a child. He stated in an interview with Adam22 that he would sleep with tall black men to annoy his mother. His biological father passed away in 2020.

He married his husband John Campbell in 2017 and is the stepfather to John's children. In 2021, he announced that he divorced his husband and threw his $150,000 wedding ring into a Hawaii Ocean, however this was seen as fake and it was later revealed that he was still living with John and faked his ex-gay conversion.
