Hugo Pierre Leclercq (born: May 30, 1994 (1994-05-30) [age 29]), better known by his stage name Madeon, is a French DJ, musician, record producer and singer-songwriter originally from Nantes, France, now residing in Los Angeles, Calefornia, in the United States. He is best known for his single, Shelter, which was a collaboration with his childhood friend and fellow musician Porter Robinson about their friendship, and Pop Culture, which is a mashup of thirty-nine pop songs made with a Novation Launchpad.

Madeon his YouTube channel on January 31, 2010. The first video he uploaded to the channel was his remix of The Killers' single Smile Like You Mean It. As of February 2022, he has released two studio albums (Adventures & Good Faith), six EPs, one DJ mix, and twenty singles, including his single Shelter, which was about his long friendship with fellow music producer Porter Robinson, who he collaborated with for Shelter. The song's music video on YouTube was a short film made with A-1 Pictures and Crunchyroll, and his mashup, Pop Culture which featured samples from thirty-nine popular pop songs which he enjoys listening to, and made using a Novation Launchpad. His second studio album, Good Faith, was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Dance/Electronic Album at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards.
