Hey Guys! Before we Start This Video

―MagicofRahat

Rahat Hossain (born: December 19, 1989 (1989-12-19) [age 34]), better known online as MagicofRahat, The King of Hearts, The King of YouTube, is an American magician and prankster. While he began his YouTube career showcasing his magic tricks with playing cards, Rahat is famous for his prank videos.

YouTube Career[]

First Videos[]

Rahat began his YouTube debut by creating videos showcasing magic tricks with playing cards, posting his very first video named Maxi Twist | Magic of Rahat on July 21, 2007, a video about the Maxi Twist card technique.

After a dozen or so videos on card tricks, he began uploading videos of hidden camera pranks, with his very first prank video named Drive Thru Fire Wallet. His most popular video, titled "Drive Thru Invisible Driver Prank", was uploaded on January 8, 2013, and has over 38 million views. Hossain's last card trick video was Magic Compilation 3.

Lottery Ticket Prank[]

On March 4th, 2014, Hossain posted a video where he pranked a homeless man named "Eric" with a fake lottery ticket in which Eric "won" 1,000$ and wanted to share half of the money as a thankful act but Hossain declined the offer. The video has a total of over 28 million views since then.

Later on, Hossain posted a video in which he said that people (who were touched by Eric wanting to give half of the money he received to him) asked how they could give donations to Eric. Hossain set up a fundraiser with the goal was to collect a total of $20,000. The fundraiser's goal collected over $44,000 from over 3,300 donors, far surpassing the $20,000 goal. Hossain said Eric wanted to "improve his lifestyle", emphasizing Eric's personality. While collecting the money, Eric moved into a hotel room and was given a job.

Eric Received His New Home[]

On May 7, 2014, Hossain uploaded a video to YouTube titled "Homeless Man Gets A Home." During the video, Hossain offered to buy dinner for Eric, but first Hossain says he has to stop by "his" house to get something. Later, it was revealed that it was, in reality, the house paid by thousands of internet contributors for Eric. In a matter of days, the video received about nine million views.

Aftermath[]

On February 2018, a video was posted by an individual interviewing Eric in which Eric claimed that he did not have received the money and the home needed constant maintenance. Eric also noted that he had no access to any of the money raised from the fundraiser, he only stayed in the house from Hossain's second video for only two months, and the house was sold for $61,000, $5,000 less than the amount raised in the fundraiser.

On June 5, 2018, Hossain responded on Twitter claiming that the money was transferred to Eric and that he would provide bank statements to prove his innocence. The post is since then deleted.

On June 11, 2018, someone interviewed Eric, who was tired and stressed from the entire situation wished to leave YouTube. Eric stated he no longer wishes to have the money from Hossain and forgave him for his actions. But later on July 17, Eric returns and suspiciously changed his mind, with another interview where he once more accuses Hossain of keeping most of the money from the fundraiser.

Inactivity[]

Rahat Hossain stopped any forms of activity on his YouTube channel and his social media since April 30, 2018.

Rising[]

JayLaw made a documentary about what happened to MagicofRahat, and he interviewed Rahat's cameraman, and his cameraman said that Rahat is completely innocent, and Eric was just lying because of his greed. Then after that it started gaining attraction, and more people started defending Rahat.

Return[]

Rahat Hossain has returned on October 16, 2020 at Twitter, he tweeted the phrase "I'm still here". After that he has been posting tweets that shows proof about his innocence, and images as well. On November 19, 2020 Rahat uploaded a new video about him explaining the whole situation and telling the truth on what really happened, including valid proof. And he also said that his attorney's sent a letter to Razz, Razz is Rahat's old cameraman and he started betraying Rahat and believed Eric even though Razz never went to Rahat. People made theories that the letters from the attorneys are warnings that Rahat will sue Razz and Eric for defamation.

Personal Life[]

Rahat currently lives in West Virginia investing in real estate and running a very successful chain of coffee shops. He used to live in Los Angeles apartments. Rahat also has a vlog channel called RahatsIphone's channel. But lately, it was either speculated that he had been arrested for two years since 2018 or has quit his YouTube channel. He has collaborated with many YouTubers in the past, to fool people for his pranks, one of them being Eric, the homeless man he fooled with a fake scratch card, then felt really sad afterward for the guy, so he promised to help him out. But then Eric claimed that Rahat stole all his money, which led him to get harassed and made him leave YouTube and suffered severe depression and some suicidal thoughts over the past 2 years. He has currently returned to YouTube posting updates on social media accounts on his channel goals.
