MangaKamen is an American commentary YouTuber. He talks about a diverse range of topics, usually gaming and children's cartoons.

Content

He creates commentaries, draw and rants, and reviews covering anime, western cartoons, and video games. Throughout 2016-18, he was also known for covering YouTube drama in the art community, as well as criticizing Game Theory.

MangaKamen first started out reviewing IDW My Little Pony comics, Power Rangers comics, and Ace Attorney and Pokemon manga. He then moved on to reviewing episodes of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, and various content related to My Little Pony. On March 9, 2017, he uploaded Dear Mat Pat which became his most watched video of all time and boosted his popularity.

He creates commentaries, draw and rants, and reviews covering anime, western cartoons, and video games. He was also known for covering YouTube drama in the art community, as well as criticizing Game Theory.

According to his channel description, he covers anything that he feels like and his content is for more nuanced and mature viewers due to what he says, the jokes he makes as well as going into the more boring and detailed parts of series from a critical lens.

He also covers YouTube drama between the commentary community, as well as drama of indie game devs and YouTube channels.

MangaKamen's griffon design is based off a character from a story he once wrote: Friendship is Showtime, where the griffon in question was an griffonized character from the Toku series Kamen Rider Wizard. The design was changed, but the basics of both characters are still there.

Running Jokes

• The amount of commentaries he's made on Game Theory has become memetic mutation. It's gotten to the point where some believe that to be his only content.
• MangaKamen is known for being paid large amounts of cash to review terrible cartoons.
  • He didn't want to review Magical Girl Friendship Squad and said that he will only review it if someone pays him $100. Someone actually did, and he was forced to review it.
  • Then, he said he won't make a full review of High Guardian Spice. He eventually did because someone paid him $700.
