Personal life[]
Maria is of Chinese descent and has been to China before many times to vist her family. She does not have a good relationship with her parents due to them constantly comparing her to other family members and co-workers. When she told the she got a job she wanted, they said that they wanted her to be a doctor or a lawyer, even though Maria gets uneasy around blood and does not like reading. She admitted that she doesn't call them much.[9]
Prior to joining Nijisanji, she was in an idol group but left due to them exploiting her and not paying their members.m She also used to work 40 hours a week and barely slept.[10][11]

- She speaks English and (self-taught) Japanese and can even write in kanji. She speaks Chinese but cannot read it.[12]
