Matthew Grau (born: December 13, 2004), better known as Matt Ox, is an American rapper who gained prominence after his single "Overwhelming" came out on the channel Working on Dying. "Overwhelming" has over 25 million views. Since that song, Matt has released several other singles as well as albums.
Before fame[]
Grau was born in 2004. He is from Lawncrest, Philadelphia. He had been interested in music ever since he was eight years old. Ox began pursuing hip hop when he was 11 years old. Since releasing music, Ox is home-schooled. What the public knows about Matt's early public life is not much. Unfortunately, when he was two, Matt's father died of suicide due to mental illness.

On March 2, 2017, the music video for "Low Key" was uploaded to YouTube. It has a unique editing style and features Matt and extras rapping in an urban area.
On March 26, 2017, they featured Matt again in the song "Michael Myers" where Matt raps about his success and haters and other typical rap ideas. The video has a largely positive reception with 25,000 likes. The video also reached two million views.
On April 10, 2017, "This N That" was uploaded to the working on dying channel and garnered over 7 million views and 70,000 likes. In it, Matt is rapping about money. In the video, there are several scenes where Matt is driving a car in an empty lot. A controversial scene at the time stamp 0:58 shows a woman on a pile of rubble twerking in close proximity to Matt.
On May 13, 2017, "Climbers" was uploaded to the channel. In it, Matt is mumble rapping on a bus while eating "Ruffles Flamin Hot Potato Chips".
On May 21, 2017, "Overwhelming" was uploaded to the channel. It quickly took the internet by storm. Several large YouTubers like Memeulous and ImAllexx poked fun at it, but overall, it has a very positive reception to this day.
On August 1, 2017, working on dying decided to upload a 1:48 minute long song to the channel. It was called "Pom Poms" and it featured LIL TRACEY.
On May 3, 2018, "Tesla" was uploaded to the channel.

Matt's YouTube channel was created on August 16, 2017. The first video uploaded to it was the music video for his song "Messages". The music video has a unique style of editing and very positive reception.
