Melanie Adele Martinez (born: April 28, 1995) is an American singer, songwriter, actress, director, photographer, and screenwriter.

Melanie Adele Martinez was born on April 28, 1995 in the New York City neighbourhood of Astoria, Queens. Her parents, Mary and Jose Martinez, are of Dominican and Puerto Rican descent. She moved to Baldwin, New York when she was four years old.
