It’s mainly because you are considered a new member on here. We have people who like to just make an account to vandalize pages by removing contact so we have a filter in place where new members cant take away too much info. What is the page and what were you trying to change. I can help u out.
A certain YouTuber recently expressed that they prefer their surname to be unknown to the public. I noticed here that their surname was shown here in this wiki. I just want to ask, If they were to ask you, how can they ask this information to be taken down? thanks.
They'd have to get an account on the wiki, and ask one of the admins that way; after that, they'd have to show proof that they are who they say. I don't exactly remember what the process for that is though, you'll have to ask EpicNinjaDude or Purzyckij, (or one of the other admins), for that information.
I've been reviewing your contributions and you have not been etiquette here on Wikitubia, which is expected from an admin, especially an admin who has been an admin longer than all of us (except Purzyckij).
Most of the articles you are creating or editing has been a copy/paste from Wikipedia, which does not help in any shape or form. Even if you do credit them (thank you for doing so), it does not help us grow Wikitubia in our own original path. We're not Wikipedia, we're Fandom. You have also replaced original information from Wikitubia contributors to Wikipedia information, which does not help Wikitubia pages. Instead, it makes Wikitubia as a whole just a rip-off.
I've also seen you create new pages that do not follow our guidelines, most commonly pages that are less than 5 sentences/a paragraph. Even if you do, they're all stubs.
As an Admin, please contribute properly, add information that is from the YouTuber/celebrity, not from Wikipedia. You've been here longer than most of us. You should know how to do that.
Thank you. If you have any questions, let me know.
I'm glad you posted this here, as I was thinking about talking with you about this for awhile now. This is a bit of struggle that I have. I'm not sure how to add relevant information without copying from Wikipedia. I'm trying to fill the articles with every possible piece of information about them that could exist, and the only way to really do that is to use Wikipedia.
Only add articles about YouTubers you really know because you will know a lot about them as time progresses. It's fine if the recent articles you create are stubs, but adding more articles from Wikipedia than actually editing it yourself won't help you as a contributor and it also will not help Wikitubia.
If you look at the images I posted below, you can clearly see how much fine information you removed with your edit reversion, such as the entire "full name" and "collab" sections in the infobox. You also keep changing the "channel trailer" infobox parameter to a video that isn’t the channel's trailer, and changing the "vids" one to the wrong number.
Your edit reversion also keeps adding back the reference numbers from Wikipedia, which shouldn’t be there. If you're gonna revert an edit, please remember to add back the good information it removed as well.
What true things do I keep removing from the infobox? All I've been doing is reverting Flugmented's edit, who removed a shit ton of pertinent information from the article for no reason.
do you want all of the pages to be impossible to edit because of how people need to know everything about a subject? this isnt the fucking wikipedia wiki where you copy everything
Hey Jak, I'm just asking if you forgot what the name of the wiki is. "Wikitubia"
We are Wikitubia we are not Wikipedia, Stop copying Wikipedia content onto Wikitubia Articles.
Oh I also appreciated the fact you took on Article I wrote in January for Panic! At The Disco, I put some stuff in and I was gonna continue it the next day, What do I see when I woke up? WIKIPEDIA CONTENT. I'm just wondering what are you doing on this wiki? You literally have no relevant or good edits you just grab Wikipedia content slap it on Wikitubia and say, "Wow, I did a really good job". It's not like you are stealing hundreds of peoples work.
Please write the articles properly like the rest of us and stop cloning Wikipedia articles on Wikitubia, Thanks Aeywoo (talk) 08:16, May 23, 2020 (UTC)
Haven't I contacted multiple times before? People can go to Wikipedia instead of Wikitubia to read about them; that is what comes first on a Google search. A Fandom wiki should at least have a sense of originality of a dedication to YouTubers, not from actors and singers who have a side-YouTube channel, and whose documentation already appears on Wikipedia.
And please don't copy the "References" section. They ultimately lead to the citations on Wikipedia itself.
I've seen you copy-paste entire ==References== sections from Wikipedia when you use materials from it. You should avoid pasting the references section too, and it ultimately lead to the citation marks on Wikipedia itself.
Also, please don't make the pages too long; so long that PCs lag on them. You should add only the relevant information to them, like some sections. (Not the entire pages, I mean). And one more thing, don't add too many images to pages. This makes them so long it's annoying to read them.
