Michael Yiming Huang (born: March 18, 1997),[1] known online under various nicknames,[note 1] is an American YouTuber and animator.
With his twin brother, Cary, he runs the jacknjellify YouTube channel, which is best known for its animated web series Battle for Dream Island.
Content[]
The content on the MichaelYH channel mainly consists of short animations, accompanied by various livestreams Michael has done in the past. Michael also ran a series of videos titled "How Made" explaining and teaching how to use certain features or make certain effects in different softwares.[2]
Outside of his personal channel, Michael runs jacknjellify, which is famous for the animated Survivor-esque show Battle for Dream Island (BFDI). He makes other miscellaneous forms of content on other channels. He also has a Soundcloud account where he uploads his own instrumentals from the fourth season of BFDI.[3]
History[]
Michael, along with his brother Cary, initially joined YouTube on February 4, 2008 as jacknjellify. They would begin uploading there soon afterwards, kickstarting both of their YouTube careers. The first episode of Battle for Dream Island released on January 1, 2010, which the brothers would begin to gain popularity for.
Michael and Cary both created independent channels for themselves on July 16, 2011. Cary's was named carykh (his first name and middle and last initials), while Michael's was named 'fernozzle'. Fernozzle would upload its first video on February 17, 2012.[4] Cary would begin to grow his channel and post consistently, while Michael never took his channel that seriously, and didn't upload very commonly.
Michael has started a few other channels throughout the years, such as YOYLECAKE Michael, where he uploads his music, and ozgq and Shrill Otter, where he uploaded random videos and did live streams.
Michael has not uploaded on his personal channel since January 2023, but it has amassed over 30,000 subscribers. In December 2023, the channel's name was changed to "Michael H". 6 months later, the channel's name was now changed to "MichaelYH," using his middle and last name initials like his brother's channel.
Personal life[]
Michael Yiming Huang was born alongside his brother Cary on March 18, 1997, in the United States. He is of Chinese descent.
He is also depicted to be on the social anxiety disorder, it is very evident when he was in tears and on a Christmas trip back in 2018 with the YouTuber Ice Poseidon and his Cx Network group.[5] The age at which he was diagnosed with social anxiety is very much unknown.

On this abandoned channel, Michael uploaded random videos such as animations, memes and vlogs. It was periodically active between 2011 and 2016.
YOYLE CAKE Michael[]
The channel uploads the music Michael has produced for BFDI, as well as his more recent music projects.
notverlis[]
It was an abandoned channel where Michael uploaded music such as "Verlis - Biped" and the remix of one of Owl City's music. It was only active for a brief period in 2013.
Shrill Otter[]
This was a channel where Michael uploads videos for an adult-oriented audience, whether it would be from vlogs to live-streams. The channel was created after the release of the BFDI episode "What Do You Think of Roleplay?" and was usually active during the BFB 13 hiatus until the episode was released and more specifically after the Cx Network group disbanded in March 2019. His most infamous video that was mostly known by the OSC was the "I am no longer a virgin" stream.[6] The last video was the "Shaving my head (in support of BTS' military enlistment)" livesteam and was uploaded on March 10, 2020.

- His favorite animal is the otter.
- In a couple of his Shrill Otter livestreams, he once had a bicycle that constantly squeaks every time he tries to go to various places.[7]
- Michael, along with twenty-seven others, used to be affiliated with Ice Poseidon's Cx Network Group.[8]
