Migos is an American hip hop group from Lawrenceville, Georgia. The group was originally comprised of rappers Quavo, Offset and Takeoff. They are known for their hit songs "Versace", "Bando", and "Bad and Boujee".

Early life[]

The trio grew up together on Lawrenceville, Georgia with Quavo's mother raising them. They grew up listening to Gucci Mane, Outkast, Hot Boys, Master P and Lil Wayne.

Death of Takeoff[]

On November 1, 2022, Takeoff was killed due to a stray bullet while attending a private party[1]. Before his death, he and Quavo were at the party playing dice and at one point an altercation broke out, which caused someone at the party to open fire[2].

Between November 22 to 26, an 22-year-old Joshua Cameron was arrested, police claimed that he was in connection of Takeoff's murder, but Joshua claimed that he didn't fire a weapon or killing Takeoff during the party, but instead he was facing charges of felony gun possession instead. [3]

On December 2, 2022, an 33-year-old Patrick Xavier Clark was also arrested for murder of Takeoff, and was released one month later. [4]

Channel[]

The Migos started their YouTube channel on January 17, 2012, and uploaded their first video on that day, showing a video of the group after performing on a show one night. The most viewed video from the channel is a music video to Bad and Boujee (featuring Lil Uzi Vert), at 1.2 billion views as of July 2023.
