Michael Len Williams II (born: March 23, 1989 (1989-03-23) [age 36]), better known professionally as Mike WiLL Made-It or Mike Will, is an American record producer, singer, rapper, and DJ known for his collaborations with other artists.

Life[]

Williams was born in Marietta, Georgia, United States. He grew up in a musical family as his uncle was a guitar player and one of his sisters was a drum major in the Olympics. Williams was athletic, and enjoys playing sports such as basketball, baseball, and football, and had dreams of becoming a professional athlete. His life also centered towards hip-hop music, first developing his love for music by re-playing popular instruments he heard on the radio while he and his friends freestyled to them.

At age 14, Williams began to develop his own beats with a Korg ES1 beat machine his father bought him for Christmas. He began to become professional with his beats, even purchasing more beat machines. At 16, he spent time at local recording studios in Atlanta, trying to shop his beats to established artists. After being ignored, Gucci Mane had noticed one of his beats, then inviting Williams to a recording studio.

Career[]

Gucci Mane and Williams began releasing songs together, which brought the attention of several different artists. In 2011, he released "Tupac Black", his first single, which was performed by Meek Mill and Rick Ross. He also worked with Future, who also released several songs with him.

On December 27, 2011, Williams released his first mixtape, Est. in 1989 (Last of a Dying Breed), which included artists such as Gucci Mane & 1017 Brick Squad, Future, Waka Flocka Flame, Kanye West & GOOD Music, 2 Chainz, Lil Boosie, Ludacris, and Lil Wayne. On March 23, 2012, he partnered with popular music website The FADER to announce Est. in 1989 Pt. 2, the second part of his Est. in 1989 mixtape series. The third part of the series, Est. in 1989 2.5, was released on December 24, 2012.
