Nya-hello! I'm the elite shrine maiden of Hololive, Sakura Miko!

―Sakura Miko

Sakura Miko (さくらみこ, Kanji: 桜巫女, Hanzi: 樱巫女) (born March 5 [age 18, aging at a rate of 0.1 per year]) is a Japanese VTuber and a member of Hololive. She formerly worked directly under Cover Corp. before being transfered to Hololive, and is currently part of Hololive's "0th gen".

Content[]

Sakura Miko debuted on August 1, 2018, and instantly gained 1,000 subscribers, which became the topic of her next video.[1] She celebrated this by vlogging herself at her job, maintaining a shrine.[2] The first games Sakura ever streamed were Minecraft, Grand Theft Auto, Jump King, PIEN, PEC-MEN, Emily Wants To PLay, Blazing Sails, NieR:Automata, Planet Coaster, DOOM (2016), Monster Hunter Rise, Fall Guys, Little Nightmares, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Bomberman 2, Hitman 2, Biohazard, 7 Days To Die, Ume Masume Pretty Derby and Project Winter. Other games she has streamed include ARK, and Papers, Please. In ARK, she was infamous for always losing to Watame, but defeated her eventually in a stream on the March 4. She also loves Eroge, and has accidentally opened it several times on stream.

She would also hosts karaoke streams where she would regularly song anime opening theme songs. As an avid fan of anime and manga, she has admitted that her signature quote, "NyaHello" greeting is a reference to Yuigahama Yui from Oregairu, (humurously enough she shares her character designer, Tanaka Yuuichi with Yui). In Oregairu, Yui greets characters with "Yahallo".

She has dabbled in ASMR and English learning streams too.

Collaborations[]

Her earliest streams were collaborations with Hololive GAMERS and the second generation.

Sakura is a big fan of Coco's show, Asa Coco Live News, to the point of making a version of both shows (and calling her version of Asa Coco Live News, Asa Miko News 朝みこNEWS) on weekends. Asa Miko News is also called "FAQ News", making an intro mostly based in Coco's one, but saying "FAQ News! F*CK YOU!", instead of Coco's catchphrase "Good morning Motherf*ckers!".

However from, 12 April 2019, she hosted a monthly variety show in the REALITY app called God Summit (神々さみっと Kamigami Samitto) which featured her co-hosts Kazamiya Matsuri, Sister Cleaire, and Tenjin Kotone. The show lasted five episodes, barring the episodes that are archived/on each others channels.

She is also a huge fan of Watame's show Watame No Uta.

On 29 November 2021, it was announced that Miko was one of the many Vtubers featured at the VILLS concert.

She has also played Among Us with Towa, Coco, Kanata, Lamy, Aqua, Botan, Suisei, Subaru, Matsuri, Hololive GAMERS, Hololive Fantasy and HoloX.[3][4][5][6]
