Mathieu Brunelle (born: April 9, 1988 (1988-04-09) [age 37]), better known online as Misty Chronexia, is a Canadian YouTuber known for his anime-related lists and gameplays.

Personal Life[]

Before becoming a YouTuber, he was a writer, he wrote a novel in French called "Chronexia et les huit sceaux" (Chronexia and the Eight Seals) and that got ported to English after many requests. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a backlash regarding the book's quality after the translation.

Beyond that, Misty is known for being the most subscribed YouTuber who creates solely anime-related content, having 1M subscribers in total, and quickly increasing as time continues to pass. Misty also has a second channel, called Misty/Chronexia - Octavia, which is a channel dedicated solely to doing video game let's plays.

Misty loves to meet fans in person at conventions. He's mainly known for attending Otakuthon in Montreal. he attended Anime Expo in 2016 in Los Angeles, California. He is very kind and he takes the time to talk to you. You can tell he cares about his fanbase. Despite a lot of people not liking him he remains level-headed, polite, and professional.

Due to the heavy workload, he has to produce every week, Misty works in tandem with his wife, Jessica. Misty focuses on the scripting, the narration, replying to tweets and comments, and the editing of major videos such as the weekly top lists. Jessica usually cover the research aspect, the paperwork, and the editing of smaller videos.

Misty received the chance of getting his novel into an anime that will be produced by Izune Animation Studio, unfortunately the director of the studio underpaid their animators and asked more money for Misty, only to deliver a terribly animation which received negativity. Misty would upload a video addressing what really happened.

On November 2020, Misty upload a video titled "Thanks For Everything, I Loved You All... Times Infinity" where he explains he made a brand new channel named Chronexia Infinity and upload new content. One of the main reasons why he made a new channel was because of the problematic copyright issues his channel struggled against (which is also why his previous channel Misty2 got terminated in the past), deeming the copyright issues as "nightmares". Misty also show proof of the copyright strikes he constantly receives in his mail account on a weekly basis, even receiving 20 strikes in a single day and claims YouTube deems his channel as "unsafe".

On July 2021, Misty seems to stop doing any activities on his 2nd channel, leaving his fans wondering what happened to him. Meanwhile, YouTuber Graudy upload a video titled "How Misty Chronexias Career Died…." which he explains Misty has to take care of his family and considers YouTube as a hobby. According to Gaudy, the decline of Misty's reputation is mostly due to the fact Chronexia and the Eight Seals was received with negativity. Misty is mostly active on Twitter as of now.
