Max LaPlume (born: November 15, 1994), better known online as Mithzan, is an American YouTuber who mainly uploads gaming videos and streams on Twitch after he formerly streamed on Mixer.
Channel History[]
Max started his YouTube channel "Mithzan Productions" on July 13th, 2008, making RuneScape videos, which taught him how to film, edit, write, and create videos. Through RuneScape, he met his best friend, Ross, and many other people that he is still friends with to this day. In 2011, he created a new channel but only started uploading there in 2016.
When he wasn't uploading, he worked as a video editor for SkyMedia. This led to him appearing on the many channels under the company's control. In May 2016, Max and Ross left the SkyMedia Offices for various reasons. They later joined Aphmau's Bluejay Studios but left after a couple of months.
Max is currently an independent content creator but will usually film videos with his friends and collaborate with other channels. Some of Max and Ross's closest friends have become a group called "The Bois!" The group currently consists of Max, Ross, Krista (Yahsass), Reapsie, Jeremiah, Oogapooki, Wibble, MrBobDob, ReadyJP, and Evildoerz.

Max started as a Minecraft YouTuber, but he's done walkthroughs of Undertale, Wandersong, Paper Mario, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, Pokémon Soul Silver, Luigi's Mansion, That Dragon Cancer and The Shadows That Run Alongside Our Car. He has also played a fair amount of Grand Theft Auto V, Gang Beasts, and Dead by Daylight on the channel.
Currently, his content consists of Goose Goose Duck, Lethal Company, and LOCKDOWN Protocol sessions, along with other miscellaneous games.
Max has made multiple Minecraft minigames alongside common help from Ross and Jeremiah, these maps include Pink Men Slappin' on Each Other (Jul 3, 2013), Minecraft Randomized Hunger Games (Jul 31, 2019), Pink Men Slappin' on Each Other 2 (Oct 19, 2019), Minecraft Randomized Hunger Games 2 (Feb 8, 2020), Dude That's My Seat (Apr 10, 2020), Hamageddon (Apr 16, 2020), and Randomizer Royale (Jul 31, 2020).
Survival Series[]
A Day at a Time[]
On May 9th, 2019, Max started the survival series "A Day at a Time" on Minecraft: Bedrock Edition and had Ross, Krista, and his friends Pooki, Jerry, Amy, Andy, and Gizzy join in through the series. He ended the series on episode 21 on July 22nd, 2019.
On May 3rd, 2020, Max launched Season 2 of A Day at a Time on Twitch. Max's last stream of A Day at a Time was on June 14th, 2020.
Randomized Survival[]
Season 1[]
On July 24th, 2019, Max and Ross started a survival series with the Randomized loot tables data pack created by SethBling, the series was an overwhelming success, with the first episode receiving over a million views. The series ended with 9 episodes on August 9th, 2019, with them fighting the Ender Dragon. They created multiple characters in the series, including:

- BIG DUMB STUPID: Named by Ross after chasing and trying to attack him in episode 1, they trapped him in a minecart and kept him until episode 8 where he was hit by a lightning strike, and avenged in episode 9 after Max and Ross killed the Ender Dragon due to Big Dumb Stupid being prophesised to weaken the Ender Dragon.
- Ketih (Pronounced Keith): A dragon egg found at the end of episode 2 by killing brown sheep and named by Ross in episode 5, Max talks about Ketih like his son.
- Booby: Max's pet phantom that he and Ross trapped in a cave after he tried to kill them.
- Walter: Ross' dog, named after the meme character, and likewise likes Monster Trucks, Firetrucks and Cheeseburgers.
- Tiffany: Ross' wife, a diamond hoe that he supposedly loved. Ross threw her in the ocean after Max asked him what he'll get her for their anniversary.
- Buffet: Ross' cat, originally named Bagel, but his name is just what Ross craves at that moment, some of his names include Pancake, Big Bowl of Cheerios, French Toast, Pop-Tarts and Sunny-Side-Up.
- Lucky: a random donkey Ross found, he's called "Lucky" because he has a lucky horseshoe.
- Wyatt McBottle Button: Big Dumb Stupid's little brother, originally just a spider that spun on some Dragon heads that surrounded the Nether portal. Only appeared in the last episode.
Season 2: Modded Randomized Survival[]
Season 2 had 15 episodes from August 21st, 2019 to October 26th, 2019. One of the notable things from series include the many guests that appeared through out the season. Krista appeared in Episode 4 - The Midnight Incident and Episode 5 - Midnight Madness, when Max and Ross traveled to the Midnight Dimension. During the Restaurant War between Max and Ross, RedVacktor, Ryguyrocky, Aphmau and JeromeASF make cameos during Episode #9 - Ross' Restaurant!. In the second episode about the Restaurant War, Episode #13 - Max's Restaurant!, Castor, Gizzy Gazza, AshlieCeleste and Oogapooki make cameos. Lastly, when Max's monster egg, Awful and Ugly, became a conspiracy theorist and served as the final antagonist of the season, he was voiced by Evildoerz.
Season 3: Randomized Hunger Games[]
After starting the Randomized Survival series, Max had the idea of making a Randomized Hunger Games minigame, where people have 15 minutes to gather randomized materials for a fight to the death, and later added team and arena change keys. There's 3 versions of the game: Randomized Hunger Games, Randomized Hunger Games 2, and Randomizer Royale. The first version was created by Max and had Ross and Jerry help with the Redstone.
It had 3 modes, 1v1v1v1 (normal), 2v2 and VR. Max also made The Ultimate Randomized Hunger Games, a 4v4v4v4 version of the game with a new map made by AriaCreations, it was the basis for the Randomized Hunger Games 2.
Randomized Hunger Games 2[]
Randomized Hunger Games 2 added Team Shops, Bosses, Underground Teleporters, Helper Items and changed the game to have 25 minutes of preparation.
Randomizer Royale[]
Randomizer Royale was the 3rd version of Randomized Hunger Games, and was probably the version with the most amount of effort put into it, with a build team (Team Visionary: Verang, TheRed1337 and ReEz_), an arena build team (AshlieCeleste, YourPalRoss and Yahsass), an art team (Oponok [Intro], Dens_saputra [Logo], and RaynPrism [In-Game Textures]) and multiple plugin developers (Zamponimarco, Synex_tg, the_codeboy, juztz1n, c10_development, Jonashoffmann11, marvin2k0 and gommzystudio.) Max later commissioned Jeff Steitzer, best known for being the voice of the multiplayer announcer in the Halo games, to be the announcer for the beginning of matches.
Season 4[]
On September 23rd, 2023, Max and Ross began Randomized Survival Season 4. This season of Randomizer was different from previous ones because the viewers controlled how the series went. Max tasked his viewers to make his and Ross's lives "a living hell" by commenting challenges with varying levels of difficulty, and stupidity, that they were required to complete. Max then went through the comments section of previous episodes and selected six challenges for his friend ItWasEnder to turn into plug-ins. He also re-randomized the loot table by selecting commented seeds if the previous episode hit a certain number of likes. This season also used the Collection Log system from one of Max's personal SMPs (see below) and featured musical segments from MrDobBob under the alias of Funkman Famous. This series was put on an indefinite hiatus due to poor viewership.
Minecraft+[]
Minecraft+ is a yearly, invite-only SMP created and run by Max for Youtube and Twitch. Minecraft+ is based on enhancing the gameplay of Minecraft by adding new mechanics, items, and challenges to the game. While Minecraft+ has had two seasons before the ones listed below, Minecraft+ and Minecraft+ Odyssey, neither of the other two seasons were filmed or streamed by Max.
Season 3 (Minecraft+ Resurgence)[]

This season introduced a gimmick called Collection Logs, these logs require the members of the SMP to personally collect items by exploring the world, fighting bosses, and more; similar to Ironman Mode on Old School RuneScape. Completing a log gave the player a special title and additional perks. The assets for this SMP were created by ItWasEnder, Toro Toro, LittleRoomDev, StitchSprites, Jalerz, TheLittleBear, Seakara, beetolbugs, and Pansetta.

Personal life[]
Max was born in Virginia and raised in Louisiana alongside his older sister, Amy, and his younger brother, Raymond.
In April 2016, Max and Krista began dating and the two have been together since.
Max currently lives in Texas with Ross, Krista, and the trio's menagerie of pets: Galileo (Max's dog), Charlie (Ross's cat), Marble (Krista's cat), Figaro (Max and Krista's dog), and Chalupa (Max's cat).

Censor Duck as a VTuber
- Max's avatar was based off of his skin on RuneScape.
- He never went to a film school. He just watched a lot of YouTube guides on how to edit.
- Max censors things in his videos using duck quacks, which usually come from the channel's mascot Censor Duck.
- Censor Duck has been made into merchandise and even a V-Tuber (by BinOfTrash) that Max uses on streams.
- When Censor Duck speaks, he is voiced by Oponok.
- The names of his dogs were based on the 3rd verse of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen.
- He once took care of a stray dog that he temporarily named Magnifico after Ross found her during a Taco Bell run. However, after Max saw how Magnifico didn't get along well with the other pets in the house, she had to be put up for adoption.
- His favorite food is mac and cheese.
- His favorite dog breed is the English Bulldog.
- His all-time favorite manga is One Piece.
- However, he doesn't like the anime because of the pacing.
- His favorite anime is the Clannad series (Because they make him sob like a wuss)
- He hates that people think he hates puns with his name. Ex: Mad Max, Sad Max, Bad Max, etc.
- His disdain for this joke now is largely due to its association with Max's time at SkyMedia.
- He has a little plushie buddy by the name of David.
- The Butt Knights were created because him and Ross were just goofing around in a Cops and Robbers episode.
- He has ADHD and Dyslexia.
- Krista's nickname was "Cheese," making the two "Max and Cheese"
- Max has a Lesbian Pride Flag in his personal office to represent his sister.[2]
