―Mizkif

Matthew (born: February 16, 1995 (1995-02-16) [age 29][1]), better known online as Mizkif, is an American Twitch streamer and YouTuber. He is a founding member of the gaming organization One True King.

Biography[]

Early life and career[]

Matthew was born on February 16, 1995[1], and grew up in Montclair, New Jersey. His birthdate was rumored to be two days earlier.

He started streaming in 2016 to a relatively small community, as well as made parody YouTube videos about streamer's lives, which gained him attention and recognition within the Twitch community.

Mizkif's big break happened in 2018, when he made videos documentary of streamers and got boosted by Erobb221 (Loltyler1's brother).

In 2019, Mizkif became friends with Maya Higa, who was new to Twitch. They had a few online "dates" as a joke as well as some more streams together, which were enjoyed by the viewers who gave Matthew the idea for the two of them to meet up in real life. This was then made possible when a viewer donated Matthew a huge amount of money to fly Maya out. Though neither of them had plans of dating each other, they began a relationship shortly after meeting up.

Present[]

On October 11, 2020, Mizkif, alongside Twitch streamers Asmongold TV, Esfand, Rich Campbell, and Tips Out, reported the launch of their new gaming organization One True King (abbreviated as OTK).[2]

He lives in Austin, Texas and is roommates with streamers such as Russell, Simply and Emiru. Mizkif has also hosted game shows such as the recent Schooled, Parasocial, and Smite Tournament.

Controversies[]

Twitch Ban[]

In May 2019, Mizkif received a seven-day ban from Twitch after the pair made inappropriate comments towards a female streamer at PAX East.[3]

CrazySlick Cover Up allegations[]

On September 19, 2022, Mizkif was accused by fellow streamer Trainwreckstv of downplaying and covering up an incident where his roommate and fellow streamer CrazySlick allegedly sexually assaulted female streamer AdrianahLee. Later that day, Ice Poseidon, whom Mizkif worked with during his early streaming career, published a set of comments made by Mizkif from 2018 to 2019, characterized as racist and homophobic. The following day, as a result of the aforementioned incidents, Mizkif was placed on leave by One True King.[4]

On December 31, 2022, One True King released a statement about the allegation of Mizkif covering up an incident of sexual assault.[5] According to the Texas-based firm Jackson Walker, the investigation's counsel did not find direct evidence that Rinaudo attempted to minimize or cover up sexual assault as alleged. His status as an OTK member was reinstated.[6]

Personal life[]

Matthew dated Maya Higa, another Twitch streamer and wildlife rehabilitator. They mutually separated in September 2021.[7][8] He has a heart condition known as viral myocarditis, and has publicly spoken out about his struggles with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). He had previously taken adderall to treat the disorder but was ordered by a doctor to stop after being diagnosed with his heart condition. He has a cat named Chompy and Bunki and a bunny named Dedo (RIP).

Trivia[]

  • Mizkif is of Italian descent with slightly Irish ancestry.[citation needed]
  • His YouTube and Twitter profile picture is a photoshopped image of Mizkif's childhood photo.
  • His Twitch clips were once sold as NFTs (non-fungible tokens), despite the fact that he never consented to it.[9]
