Philipp Karbun (born: March 21, 1988 (1988-03-21) [age 36]), better known online as Moldran, is an Austrian video game player and YouTuber.

Biography[]

Moldran started his gaming career in 2009 as a World of Warcraft player for the German eSports organization SK-Gaming. In 2012, he started streaming on Twitch and became one of the most popular Diablo streamers and content creators.

He received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the University of Texas at Austin.

World of Warcraft[]

Moldran was team leader of SK-Gaming Sansibar from 2009-2010 and participated in various tournaments with the team. They became the European Champion at IEM 2010 in Cologne after beating Team Dignitas with a score of 4-3 in the finals, winning $7,500 in prizes and qualifying for the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship.[1] In the following IEM World Championship at CEBIT 2010 they managed to get 5th, after successfully beating the group phase but losing to Team Dignitas 3-4 in the quarter finals.[2]

Diablo III[]

Moldran's channel gained popularity with the launch of Diablo 3. In September 2012, he released a video illustrating the 'Alkaizer run', a method used by the world first Paragon 100 player Alkaizerx to quickly gain experience.[3]

In 2014, Moldran was voted as #1 Most Favorite Diablo stream and #3 Most Educational Stream across all Blizzard games in a competition hosted by Blizzard and Twitch.[4]
